+fractal
You can now make camping reservations for Champoeg 2005, which takes place July 15-16. Champoeg State Park Reservations Last year, we filled up the A loop and spliied over into the B loop! This will be the 4th year for the Champoeg get-together. We join together in a service project for the park, enjoy a huge pot-luck, then take part in some event caches like you have never experienced before! If you can join us, please post on the forums at www.champoeg.com. You do NOT want to miss it! -fractal Edited October 15, 2004 by fractal Quote Link to comment
+Seth!
I must have been washing my hair when fractal made this announcement. The only three campsites in the park that are available right now are handicap accessible. Which means that you MUST be handicapped in order to reserve them. Obviously, it would make sense to set those sites aside for the handicapped until the other sites are full, but that's not how it works. So, there are three empty sites in the park and I can't reserve one because I can walk. Talk about discrimination! (The same thing happened to us last year but we got a site in the B-loop, which was just fine. Now even the B-loop is full--except for the ADA sites.) Adrian and I would like to come down for the fun. If anyone has reserved a large tent site and would like some company, please let me know. We have tent and just need somewhere to pitch it. +Willapa
Seth, You might want to post on the Champoeg.com forums. I see that AlisonAndy has spot A30 available to the fist taker that posts on the forums. Quote Link to comment
+Seth!
Thanks, Willapa. I forgot that logging in on those forums would reveal several more pages of posts! Quote Link to comment

There will be other events and activities going on all weekend. You can find out more about the schedule of events at Champoeg.com. Here is a printable schedule of events. Quote Link to comment
+Stump
Here is a printable schedule of events. I keep meaning to ask over there but I can do it here instead I guess. What's the drill for the pancake breakfast? Ticked we're going to miss your event Wander Lost but we need to be in Redding that night. Quote Link to comment
+Wander Lost
They took donations last year, you just showed up and they gave you lots of yummy food. The pirate adventure is coming together well, I just hope the kids enjoy it. Quote Link to comment
+Prying Pandora
Sheesh, I just had to cancel our camping reservation for this event that I made back in January! A family obligation came up. Quote Link to comment
+ReyTheBear
awwwwwwww i wanna go.......too bad i found out like two nights before Quote Link to comment
+Go JayBee
RTB......... You can still go to the event.........you don't have to camp there to attend. A lot of folks will be just coming in for the day on Saturday. I would offer you a place to pitch a tent, but evidently that is not allowed at the cabins. I think there was an RV site that Trekks was going to be in, but is now not able to attend. You might try getting ahold of them. JayBee Quote Link to comment
+Sparrowhawk
If anyone wants to take some Cannonball Racer TBs from my Beaverton Travel Bug Lounge cache to Champoeg, you are welcome to them. The "take only 5 bugs per visit" rule is suspended and bug take is unlimited for anyone who would do that for those bugs. There's an utter bleepload of those TBs in the cache. +Sparrowhawk
If you are going to guarantee they get to Champoeg, you have my permission to grab the heck outta ALL of them... don't worry about the "only take x number of bugs per visit" cache rules on the page. This is a special case. Quote Link to comment
+Sparrowhawk
Oh yeah... someone made a racer TB out of a bleepin' large ammo can. Go figure. Please don't forget to take that one too. Quote Link to comment

If it weren't for the ammo can TB, there would still be some racers left behind! I think I only left 1 TB (I think I had already had it anyway). Quote Link to comment
+ArmandoM
Hmmm, a large ammo box you say?! I wonder if I could turn this little guy into a TB? It will be going to Champoeg too Quote Link to comment
