+poshandbecks
Normally download files from GUK but as its down decided to save .loc files from Geocaching.com and import into GSAK. When files uploaded into GPSr the cache name is displayed and not the waypoint (ie GCXXXX) The waypoints appear in GSAK in the CODE column. any help gratefully recieved. Quote Link to comment
Deego
when you click on send waypoint to GPS, in the box that opens up it says "you can build the waypoint name using tags". If it says %smart change it to %code Edited October 14, 2004 by Deego Quote Link to comment

+poshandbecks
Thanks that works fine now. Just about to upload the cache pages for the North west meet to our Ipaq but have found the battery had gone flat and wiped everything off the machine and gone back to default. Modern technology eh.!!!! Quote Link to comment
+Blaidd-Drwg
I like using %drop2. This drops the GC off of the front and leaves the last four characters. You could also use %drop2%typ1 This will result in dropping the GC from the cache ID and add a single character for the type of cache T=Traditional, M=Multi, V=virtual Quote Link to comment

Modern technology eh.!!!! We`ve had this problem too, what you need to do is set the backup shedule to back itself up everyday, our`s is usually 5 in the morning. That was you have a chance of getting the programs back if you are out in the field if that happens then. Which it did the other weekend.. Still all wasn`t lost. Hope that helps. markandlynn
We use %drop2 %con1 %typ1 for the container type and cache type as well. Quote Link to comment
