+TandGG
Does anyone own one of these units yet. I was checking them out online and they intrigue me. Looks like Megellan's answer to the Garmin Legend. Any info available from the real users. GG Quote Link to comment
Azaruk
The Explorist series are real neat, BUT ....... no data port which means you cannot connect to your PC and upload waypoints to the Explorist. ALL waypoints must be entered by hand. If you only intend looking for one or two caches at a time, then the Explorist is fine. If you want to go off on an extended cache hunt, looking for a number of locations, then your fingers are going to complain about the amount of effort required to enter all the co-ords. Look at the SportTrak range - they have the data port. Quote Link to comment

+JohnnyVegas
Look for Models Greater than 300. Those won't be out for quite a while, the Sport trak map is the closest thing Magellan has to a Legend (The current explorist do not support detailed maps) Radio shack has the sport track map on close out for $169.99 and Magellan has a rebate for $30.00 on their website, $139.99 for a maping GPS is a very good deal Quote Link to comment
