Guest Kluso
I just wanted to post a caution to folks hunting stashes in Michigan. Deer hunting season runs from October 1, to January 1. Please remember to wear some blaze orange outerwear if you venture into the woods on a stash hunt. It's always a good idea to be aware of hunting seasons wherever you?re geocaching. -Kluso Quote Link to comment
Guest iryshe
Ah. Good point. I'll add a note on the FAQ pages about this. Quote Link to comment
Guest gfritz
Ditto Utah. Utah hunting info and schedules can be founda at: http://www.nr.state.ut.us/dwr/tgame.htm Went looking for he Potter's Pond Utah Cache last Saturday. I was wondering why everyone we saw was wearing bright orange and toting large caliber rifles (elk season). Quote Link to comment
Guest mcb
You can get a real cheap orange vest at Dick, Walmart or K-mart. Only a couple bucks and it will keep you from being mistaken as a buck. Later Matt Quote Link to comment
Guest Mike_Teague
Smart move... Yet another thing we've learned , as this will be the first Autumn since the beginning of the game! I'm also wondering what a full high-altitude winter will do to a typical stash container... Could it get swept away in spring melt? etc. etc. ? We'll see I guess! Quote Link to comment
The Face
Just a reminder to all you NON hunting folks out there-wisconsin's bow hunting has begun as well as small game hunting(ALONG WITH MOST OF THE UPPER MIDWEST STATES),as a hunter I'd recommend bright colored clothing or the lovely blaze orange if you wish, also to keep from ruining somones hunt,if out in the boonies, keep an eye UP in trees and alert to possible hunters in the area Quote Link to comment
