MilanO
Does the Topo! state series for Mac support 60CS. It's not listed among the supported units, but maybe somebody has tried it anyway. Any comments greatly appreciated! Thanks Milan Quote Link to comment
+jbenson
I am also wondering if Topo! State for windows supports the 60C. Quote Link to comment
+embra
In checking my windows Topo! 3.4.3 the 60C is not listed among the Garmin models supported in the GPS setup dialog. However, I'm using a Maggie (so someone else may tell you otherwise). Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
My understanding is that you have to use another GPS that is compatible with the 60CS for waypoint transfers. Quote Link to comment
+RiverExplorer
Works fine. I use a Mac and Topo! for Mac. I have both IL and IN installed on my iBook, and recently upgraded to the 60cs. This model is newer than the TOPO! software, so it's not listed in the GPS settings preference. Just select Garmin and for model select "None of the Above". Works great. Of course, you need a USB to serial adapter, as with all other model GPSrs. Garmin has not released USB drivers for Mac, so you can't use the USB port on the GPS, even though you've probably got USB on your Mac! Works for Waypoint Transfer and Tracking on Map too. MilanO
I have just installed the NM Topo! on my iMac. I have 60CS, Keyspan serial to USB adapter. I keep getting error message saying "The COM port seems to be used by another application". My 60CS works fine with MacGPSPro, so the unit, cables and adapter are OK. Milan Quote Link to comment
MilanO
After reinstalling Keyspan driver, everything works fine! Quote Link to comment
