+SeventhSon Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 It doesn't appear possible to download TBs, but benchmarks can be downloaded as a .loc file individually, and then run thru GSAK to create a .gpx file to use with plucker. 7 Quote
+Muzikman Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 (edited) For the benchmaks what I do is; Go to the NGS website (http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/) Click on the "datasheets" link Click "Archived Datasheets" Click "Yearly_Archives" Select your state and then click the "Get County Archives" Select the county you want and click the "Download File" Save this file in a directory so you know where it is. Go here (http://parkrrrr.com/) and download BMGPX Use BMGPX to convert the *.dat file you got from NGS into a GPX file I then open the GPX file up in GSAK and export it to what ever format I need (I use CacheMate for my PDA). I am new to plucker but I believe you can upload any webpage. At the plucker desktop... select the button 'Add a new channel' Type a name (press enter) on the 'configure channel' dialog box on the 'starting page' tab Select the top radio button 'A website URL' Type (or paste) the name of the web page (IE: the tb or benchmark page) and then synchronize as you usually do. I just did this for my palm and it worked great. Quote
+New England n00b Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 (edited) If all you want is the cache page, since you are a Premium Member, why not runa pocket query from your member page. You can have the complete .gpx file, zipped, sent to your email with no fuss... Up to 5 Pocket queries, with 500 waypoints each can be sent. GPX files are MUCH better than limited text LOC files.
