Yes, I've got counters on some of my cache pages. Another thing you can do is make the cache "members only" then you get a log of who visits your cache, how often and when....

are you saying we get a log of visitors now if a cache is members only?

or to flip it - why do you get a log of all that if it is members only - won't you get a log anyway?

Is it possible to enter the HTML code to put a counter in the Cache page description so that the number of hits can be seen? Or does this take up too much on the server?

The GC servers just deliver the html code to your browser. It's up to your browser to request the the counter image from where ever it's hosted. So it's not really going to impact the GC server's, but your page may load a little slower.

I put counters on all my cache pages. It is amazing to see how many times they get looked at. The one that I use is at Keen People.Com. I think if you use this link, it is under free cache ratings. You will have to become a memeber to access this tool and it is free. It also allows your caches to be rated by the users. It is interesting to see what people think of your hide.
