+DeViDe
I use GSAK and Plucker. Plucker works fine on 500 waypoints, but it chokes and dies if I try doing 1000. Any body have a solution for this? Thanks Quote Link to comment
+NightPilot
What do you mean by 'chokes and dies'? Plucker should accept a file of any size - I use it to read very long ebooks. If you have your spidering depth set too deep (or high, depending on which way is up) then you're loading too many pages, and it will take a very long time. I use Sunrise Desktop instead of Plucker Desktop, and I find that Sunrise takes only a fraction as long as Plucker, probably around a tenth of the time or less. It's fast, and it's easy to set up. +DeViDe
It will work on the file for 10 or 15 minutes and then report an error and close. The spidering depth is set at 3. Where can I get the Sunrise Desktop? Quote Link to comment
+embra
Depth at 3 sounds right. But even if you get it to work, I agree that Plucker going over 500 can be a laborious compile. It also makes a big difference how many indexes you generate in GSAK; I keep it to only two. I've liked Sunrise since following NightPilot's suggestion. You can download it here.
