Jeremy
I know this is short notice, but PCT - Under Huckleberry Mountain is our target cache to hike to on Saturday (tomorrow of this posting). We're considering a thru-hike and are looking for some folks to join us. We have two cars but, as the saying goes, misery loves company and this one has a 4,000 ft elevation gain. Post if you're interested, and we can plan on a meeting point, etc. Otherwise Nate the Great and I will be attempting this one tomorrow. (edit: removed thru-hike from the title. We're going end to end but it isn't the entire PCT) Edited September 25, 2004 by Jeremy Quote Link to comment

+CameraThyme
Enjoy the hike! We will be building a fence at mother-in-lawss on Alki tomorrow, Saturday, September 25. Quote Link to comment
MarcusArelius
Spur of the moment hiking. I like that! I was kinda bummed to have to do some home plumbing today with the nice weather. So I thought why not tomorrow and even got permission (well kind of). Then I went to mow the yard and the mower went haywire. Now I guess I'll be spending the morning getting familiar with a carburetor . Quote Link to comment
+evergreenhiker!
Man I've been looking at that one for 2000. I bet weather will be great. Cache Ahead and I are talking of doing that one sometime in October. One my all time favorite stretches of trail!!! Ridge lake or Gravel would make a nice camp. I might just do that when I go so I can do some exploring further on the crest trail. Quote Link to comment
+LthrWrk
Egads... its late friday.. I am a new guy to this .. and would have been great to try and join up with this. Do these short notice group hikes come up often? Is there a way to get notified other than checking the forum? Dang... but too late for me to get my act together for this. Chomping at the bit to get out and have some fun. Charles Mt Vernon WA Quote Link to comment
+leatherman
CharlesMt Vernon WA I'll wave at you as I drive by. I'm headed to Blanchard hill, near Chuckanut Dr, in the morn. Great down hill mountain bike ride. Quote Link to comment
Jeremy
Yeah, I didn't give much of a heads-up on this one. We'll be leaving one car at the Gold Creek trailhead and driving back to the beginning of the Pacific Crest trail on the north side of 90. We'll leave at around 8:00am tomorrow morning from Bellevue and I expect it will take us 45 mins or so to get to the first trailhead, so we'll set out around 9:15 or so from the PCT trailhead, depending on the drive between the two locations. If you want me to call you when we take off tomorrow, send me an email or PM with your cell or home number. Quote Link to comment
+LthrWrk
I will just try and keep up with postings. Will certainly start having a ready pack. Just sounds like great fun. And the weather is going to be fairly seasonal.. but dry. Hi pressure ridge off the coast should hold up thru the weekend. of course your mileage may vary!!! Have fun.. take pics.. and of course be careful out there. Charles Mt Vernon Quote Link to comment

Glad you guys had a good time. yeah I think I'll stick to the PCT. Scramble to Joe doesn't sound like fun. Any size to the fish...did you happen to notice? Man I hope the weather's clear like that wehn I go. That stretch of trail has to be one of the best I've ever hiked. Quote Link to comment
+TotemLake
I was moaning all weekend about how I was missing out on a great hike. Thanks for proving it! Quote Link to comment
Jeremy
We were in such a hurry that we didn't have a chance to see their take for the day. They were pretty happy with their catch though. Quote Link to comment

+5
Looks, and sounds like a blast...Hopefully in the not too distant future I may work out a somewhat normal work week. I'd love to come along on some of these group adventures. Quote Link to comment
