+jkibbe Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 Just curious how many Pennsylvanians post to these boards and geocache... What region of the state are you from? Are you interesting in caching with others (me or others from PA)? I'm from South Central PA... -Jason Quote
+PeachyPA Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Punxsutawney, home of Groundhog Day!! If you cut the state in half, we're in the center of the western half. Quote

+jkibbe Posted September 22, 2004 Author Posted September 22, 2004 I'm from NYC but reside in Philadelphia, does that count? Sounds like you're a Pennsylvania by residence...! Sure it counts! Quote
+ODragon Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Sounds like you're a Pennsylvania by residence...! Sure it counts! But I don't like admitting it! Quote
+jkibbe Posted September 23, 2004 Author Posted September 23, 2004 Sounds like you're a Pennsylvania by residence...! Sure it counts! But I don't like admitting it! I moved to rural-as-rural-gets Pennsylvania when I was in high school, so I was always proud of the fact that I'm originally from Western Massachusetts and not plagued with any of the local accents from MA. or PA. Now I'm content just being a Pennsylvania -- I've now been in PA longer than MA, so I guess I have to let it go! -Jason, formerly of Massachusetts Quote
+edscott Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Berks County.... tend to stay east of the Susquehanna, south of I80, north of Virginia, and out of the Atlantic. Anything beyond these boundaries is considered a Road Trip. [] Quote
teamh3 Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 pittsburgh area, actually east pittsburgh, tiny town, no caches and even fewer people who have heard of geocaching. Until now. Quote
+Muzikman Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 (edited) pittsburgh area, actually east pittsburgh, tiny town, no caches and even fewer people who have heard of geocaching. Until now. Yeah, East Pittsburgh isn't going to be cache wealthy, but there are a good bit of Benchmarks in your area. Most are probably non accessable because they are all on RR tracks, but I'll be finding out soon. Edited September 24, 2004 by Muzikman Quote
+The Leprechauns Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 I am from the west suburbs of Pittsburgh and I'm one of the more active Pennsylvanians in the forums. There are many, many more PA geocachers than just those who post in the forums. That's true just about anywhere. Quote
