Spiritnip
On one of my first caches ever I came out of the woods and there was this Cinnamon colored Lab puppy playing with my wife and daughter. She was only about 3-4 months old, no collar and looked like she hadn't been fed in a few days at least. Still it could have been someone's dog and we didn't want to take it. However, the next morning my wife drove back by and she was the dog was still there so we got her Ran an ad and no one claimed her so we're keeping her much to s***zhu's chagrin. I wish I could post her pic her but I don't have it uploaded anywhere. We needed a second dog anyways We named her Cache, it only seemed right. +SixDogTeam
Rescued mutts are the best...We have Patrick, Gunner, Kea, Nick, Misty, Bandit -- all rescues... Quote Link to comment
Rabbitto
We saw a very large wombat at a cache on the weekend. If this baby had hit an iceberg instead of the Titanic, the iceberg would have sunk. It did not come home with us Quote Link to comment
nfa
we have 2 rescued dogs and 4 rescued cats...we're suckers for hard luck stories nfa Quote Link to comment
Doggiewoggie
This is Jordie--I found him while caching in Cuba, abandoned in a park, in a plate of spaghetti. He was only about two or three days old, but now he's a fine puppy of 3 mos. And he's looking forward to living in the United States! Quote Link to comment

Car54
SpiritNip, That is one CUTE puppy! I hope she realizes how lucky she is to have landed in your family. After our 7-year-old border collie died suddenly in April, we adopted a 5-month old female black lab mix. There's nothing quite like the love a pet offers, is there? Quote Link to comment
Spiritnip
She's warming my toes as I type. She really is a cutie! THanks for the offer Torry, but if I find another cat around here, I'll be attaching a travel bug to it's tail...lol Just kidding We were actually thinking about getting a cat first but it never happened Quote Link to comment
dasein
Prettynwitty, Jordie's face is *almost* ferret-like! Doug and I have three ferrets: Draper (9.5), Klaus (7), and Manfred (4.5). How many do you have? Names and ages? We occasionally pick up a safe toy for the ferrets at caches. I think they most enjoy just sniffing our shoes after caching though! --laurak Quote Link to comment
