+IV_Warrior
You can connect your GPS to your laptop, and allow it to transmit position information to programs such as Microsoft Streets&Trips, Delorme Street Atlas, etc..... Quote Link to comment
+Cherokeecacher
You may need a serial tp usb converter, but Like IV_W said, it can easily be done. edited for spelling, probably still missed some Edited September 16, 2004 by Cherokeecacher Quote Link to comment
+Ed & Julie
My laptop has a serial port that connects directly to my Legend. I thought it would be cool to track my routs on the laptop with MetroGuide, but it turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. Ed Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
I use both NG Topo! and MS Streets & Trips to livetrack myself. I add the cache waypoints to the maps and then can 'see' when I close to which caches. It's also great when you are in a new town to find your way around. Either my Garmin GPS 12 or the Rino 110 work well for this (plus using a power/data cable - what a tangle of wires when I have all three running at the same time). Quote Link to comment
