+Anklebiters
Recently the small group I cache with (friends and family) have really devoted ourselves to CITO. In our on going quest to seek out garbage we have discovered a nearly unlimited supply of 35mm film canisters!!! It's super simple, go to any store that developes film at the end of the day and ask them for the film containers. We have been stuffing 1 garbage bag in each and leaving them in every cache we find. It works out great for everybody! Link to comment
+Team Snoopy
Thats what I did. I got film developed on Sunday and my grocery store had a bag full to give me! Now to stuff and label them! I think ti is a great idea for the caches! Link to comment
+ZackJones
Any particular stores you all are going too? I tried at a local Wolf Camera store and the guy said he wouldn't give me any. They recycled them he said Zack Link to comment
+Team Snoopy
I got mine at our grocery store (Hy Vee), but I know Target and Walmart give them away too. Or maybe drug stores. I'd ask at non camera specific places. Link to comment
+The Puzzler
The last camera store (one of the big camera and film stores in Vancouver BC) I asked, gleefully gave me a whole box of empty film canisters, and suggested I come back for more any time. I'll be caching for a year before I use up this batch, even if I put two in each cache. Link to comment
+CompassCollector
I have a huge bag of them I got from the local walmart, which represents perhaps a day or two of processing for them. Places that have one-hour drop off service frequently have more than they can handle, and will gladly give them to you. WalMart, Longs, Target, etc, etc, etc. Link to comment
+bluedog23
I've been a Girl Scout most of my life, the "Old School" GS saying was, "Always leave a place cleaner then you found it". Thanks for the great idea on the film cannisters, I've just downloaded some ideas for labels, will be printing and applying and leaving them in all cachest that I can. Link to comment

The gave us all they had and even offered to collect them for a week or so. Thanks for the hint! Link to comment

+GIDEON-X
I get all the containers I can use at the local Wal-Mart store, On any given day I'll score a plastic shopping bag full and then some. (here in Yuma, the photo section doesn't open until 08:00Hours) ~~~~ CITO Link to comment
