Joypa
Allow me to suggest that the newbee label be discarded once a team has a dozen or so caches and/or three months of activity. I make this suggestion in the spirit of debate and discussion. Discuss amoungst yourselves. Quote Link to comment
IV_Warrior
I always thought: *You're no longer a newbie when you quit asking/wondering if you're still a newbie* Until then, it's newbie status, regardless of # of finds, or time as a cacher. Quote Link to comment
Joypa
Yes but the sheer angst of it all. I need validation, dadgum it! Quote Link to comment
team walkingsticks
I'm thinking: One year of caching 44 finds 2 hides 65 forum posts That's my current count and I don't really feel like a newbie anymore. Yes, this is the standard that should be for all newbies!!!! I have spoken! Quote Link to comment

IV_Warrior
Say, where can I get one of those fine walking sticks? Not sure where "team walkingsticks" stick came from, but if you'd like a very nice hiking staff, you can get one here, made by fellow geocacher, EL Diablo Quote Link to comment
team walkingsticks
Say, where can I get one of those fine walking sticks? I didn't know about El Diablo at the time of my purchase and I have seen his sticks and I would agree that they are very cool. Definitely check his out first. I got mine on ebay at: http://stores.ebay.com/ORIGINAL-WOODCARVING-STORE I don't get how to do that thing where you just go here!!! I have been very happy with this stick. He put a compass in the top of it as well and carved one that fit my son too. Quote Link to comment
team walkingsticks
Not if that's your idea of a "blessing"!! Careful SixTen As the unoffical geocache newbie no-more head hancho this evening, I deem you still a newbie as you have less finds then I and your find to post ratio is out of wack. +Ed & Julie
I have always like to say that when you answer more questions in the forums than you ask, then you are no longer a newbie. Ed Quote Link to comment
Snoogans
When you stop thinking more rules, especially rules banning things that you don't personally enjoy, would be nifty. When a cache is just a cache and what's in it doesn't matter. What matters is you hafta find it. When size or catagory doesn't matter all that much. When your own personal aesthetic that caching should have some undefinable "Wow factor" to suit you departs your little head and you stop looking down on hides that don't meet your personal standards and appreciate that someone has posted a cache that you can choose to find, or NOT. At least they contributed to the game. Oh and lastly: When you stop whining about your travel bugs. Edited September 14, 2004 by Snoogans Quote Link to comment
Cherokeecacher
We hope we are always newbie’s. The day either one of us wakes up knowing everything about a subject, well... lets just say we think that would be pretty boring. 9 months, 100+ finds, cached in 10+ states, 500+ posts...still a newbie and we hope it stays that way.
