I just had a cache rejected in the Old Union Cemetery in Wyckoff, NJ. It is on Wyckoff Avenue which changes names to Franklin Avenue right in that area.

The coordinates were

N 41° 00.891 W 074° 09.123

As NJ Admin pointed out, the cache was possibly less than appropriate for an old Historical Cemetery. It is just a pretty cool place. The entrance is sort of hard to spot, but it is 2 doors up from a church, and under a large, old, wooden sign.

i know that cemetery. was it physical? a micro? I'm just curious what their reasoning was since I've seen many physical caches in cemeteries.

Or is it that they're getting tough on cache placement?

It was a physical cache, but on review, the cache was too close to a head stone. I e-mailed NJ Admin to find out if a relocated cache in the cemetery would be approved. I have not heard back yet. I might create a virtual here.

I don't know what the official stand is on cemeteries. They seem to be allowed but discouraged.
