GeoPup&ShelpieGirl
I have an old verson of Mapsource Metroguide on my desktop computer. I just downloaded the [free] update. When I install my new version, will my old version still be there? I want to keep the old version as it is more compact and does autorouting. Quote Link to comment
+welch
do you have the old version on CD? Quote Link to comment
+SeventhSon
The update will only update the program and not the maps. I have updated twice, and it still auto-routes, so this shouldn't be a problem. 7 Quote Link to comment
GeoPup&ShelpieGirl
do you have the old version on CD? Yes - I still have the original CD's. Quote Link to comment
GeoPup&ShelpieGirl
The update will only update the program and not the maps really? [darn] Hmmm - is the "program" waypoints for new attractions, etc. - or is that part of the "maps?" I assume that new streets & streetnames are part of the "maps" not "software?" +SeventhSon
The update will include new "waypoints" and points of interest. I've seen restaurants added that were not there on the original. 7 Quote Link to comment
GeoPup&ShelpieGirl
Thanks. If I use the update, will I lose my current waypoints? Quote Link to comment
+tirediron
Thanks. If I use the update, will I lose my current waypoints? Shouldn't no. The update should be virtually transparent, except for the addition of new features. Quote Link to comment
