IntotheWoods
Anyone up for some serious inclement weather caching north of the city tomorrow (Westchester/Fairfield counties)? My school has cancelled due to flooding (lost my cell phone and some books in the water) and I sometimes enjoy caching out in all the elements... Maybe a bad idea, but somehow appealing nonetheless. +Team Shibby
I would join you in heartbeat if it were not for this dadgum job getting in the way of my caching! I like caching in the rain!! Kar of TS!! Quote Link to comment
JMBella
What time did you have in mind? Can you link one of the caches on your list so I can check out the area? Quote Link to comment
AJ of Dunbar
I had a new multi approved the day frances was rolling through here (WV) 2 different teams looked the first day it rained, didnt find it. One of the teams went back today and found all the 3 steps to it. And there is atleast 7 creek crossings going one way! Hats off to them! I saw the creek today, didnt look to deep, but very swift. aj Quote Link to comment
IntotheWoods
JMBella et al., I'm open to going wherever. But I was thinking of doing either the Tarrytown area caches (start here) or some of the Palisades caches (start here). But since I have no cell phone, I probably won't go alone... Let me know ASAP if you're game. Anytime is fine; I don't have to be anywhere until 7. ITW Quote Link to comment
The Frantic Cachers
I would be careful of the palisades area after the rain....also, the park police may not let you out. The wife and I got yelled at by them over the summer after hiking after a night of heavy rain. Got some great pics though of the waterfalls Quote Link to comment
