+Hynr
I'd love to agree with that BUT... Either I offended someone or the server is now locking folks out when it gets too crowded. I get "Connection refused when trying to contact geocaching.com". It's been happening for about an hour now. Link to comment
+Riddlers
All of the avitars are now red x's so we all look alike now. What happened to the cruzin? Link to comment
+Nappy10
I cant see any avitars either. Weird. Link to comment
+Riddlers
hey, they're back or is it just my imagination? Link to comment
+Nappy10
Okay...now they are back. Probably something wrong with my connection. For about 2 mins I wasnt able to see avitars or access the geocaching webpage at all. Link to comment
+Nappy10
Yeah Riddlers....something just happened. I think the geocaching site was down for a moment. Link to comment
+S&G.Davison
It's still struggling - I'm trying to sort out my PQ's for the upcoming weekend and it's _so_ slow just loading the PQ page never mind searching / logging. I now can't get logged in again with timeout errors. Guess it's trying to tell me I should be off to work rather than having fun ..... OK I get the hint. Sue Link to comment
+Nappy10
For some reason, the site logged me out for the first time in a long while. And now I can loggin in GC.com. I get the error "Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding." I will come back and try tomorrow. Link to comment
+Cymbaline
Crusin? Sorta. Cookies reset across the domain? Yes. All cookies allowed for site: Yes. Reason for cookie failure? Unknown. Coincidence? Unknown. Pulling up cache pages on gc.com? Priceless. (evidently) Just sayin'.. Edit: Watching "login required" fail repetitively (third attempt so far) with "Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsesd prior to copletion of the operation or the server is not responding": Priceless/unknown? Fourth attempt (02:54 EDT)... Fifth attempt (02:56 EDT)... Sixth attempt (02:57 EDT)... Edited September 2, 2004 by Cymbaline Link to comment
+Cymbaline
7th attempt: "Same as you were, and go back to ..." Sorry, can't remember the rhyme. Appears a cookie change is in effect, and I missed the boat. Or something. Link to comment
+sampisa
The real problem is that whole GeoCaching webapplication is Windoze-based ;-) Link to comment
Jeremy
I believe Elias was doing some updates to the site late last night in anticipation for a busy Labor Day weekend. Link to comment

No lag....the pages were just slamming up. Now, I am on broadband and am usually connected quite fast. But, I too, was ready to scream last Sunday morning when it took 2 hours to log 5 caches, and some Travel Bugs. Hope the server farm comes soon......
