Payment through PayPal with a confirmed balance in immediately available funds: the premium upgrade goes through pretty much immediately. Payment through PayPal using an "electronic check": premium upgrade occurs once it's been verified that your check has cleared your account. Payment by mail: premium upgrade occurs once checks are gathered up, processed manually, deposited in the bank and cleared against your account -- typically, ten to fourteen calendar days.
