The issue is that some of the maps haven't been updated since the 60's/70's and the roads are off -- way off. I want to redraw the roads, maybe add some trails. Neo_Geo Posted August 30, 2004 Share Posted August 30, 2004 You can make your own maps and load them into a Garmin GPSr. It is time and labor intensive with a bit of a learning curve, but it can be done. If you're interested, here's a few links to get you started in the right direction: Map Authoring Custom Garmin Map Tutorial UMP: GETTING STARTED I THINK it's possible to reverse-engineer a Garmin .img file this way, but not 100% sure.
