Perhpas I'll have better odds winning a Jeep.

Personally, I think the low numbers should be handed out to

  • Cachers born in WA
  • Graduated High School in WA
  • Graduated college in WA
  • Found first cache in WA
  • Placed first cache in WA
  • Uh... First letter of caching name starts with "C"

That should do it...

On a serious note, any idea how many orders we are up to?

Are you sending notification of orders and/or payments recieved?

When the orders started coming in last SUnday I did send out notification to the first few orders received. Then they started coming in quicker and I couldn't keep up. I thought I would go back once things started slowing down, but they haven't!!! I will get to it later this week even if it does not slow down.

(B&B your order has been received)

Doh! I meant the first cache each cacher found was in WA and the first cache each cacher hid was in WA. Not the first ever! :( Now I'll never get one of those! :D

Did Ullmer place the first cache (stash) in Washington?

Nope, Mike Teague placed the first cache in Washington. It was Mike's First. It was the second cache ever placed - May 7, 2000, just 4 days after Dave Ulmer's Original Stash.

Mike Teague was also the first ever cache finder - he had the first find on the Original Stash.

The Washington State GeoCoins are an overwhelming success!!!

The orders for these coins have just been pouring in over the last week. So much so that we have increased the size of the order to 1500. Even with the increase we have less than 300 that are not spoken for. If you are still contemplating placing an order do it soon, or you may be shut out. Unless you find one in a cache :P .

I e-mailed a request for 5 more, and asked for info so I can send a check this time.

Is there an estimate on when we'll see them?

Anxious? A bit.....

Excited? You bet!

Sounds like a plan to me:

Born Seattle 1954

Graduated Newport High, Bellevue 1972

Graduated Highline CC 1974

Found "... with a Sigh" 4-27-01

Placed "MRSR Silver" 7-24-01

The first cache placed in Washington (The second cache overall) was Mike's First by Mike Teague

Somewhat off topic, so I'll leave it at that

Any chance of getting an update on things?

I've already ordered, but am going to be out of town next week with no Internet access; don't want to miss anything important.

Last I heard these were due in around the 20th? Is that still accurate?

So you might be up here a week after the coins are to be here. Hmmm, does your travel department know this  .

Perhaps I should pick up your precious and hold on to them for you... I'll give them to you.... really I will... muhuhaha

Master is cruel!!!

I actually didn't put two and two together about the coins and my travel.

I also recall somebody maybe putting together an event to distribute the coins.....???

You could hold them but you better not take them home. Do you really want me knocking on your door?!?!!?:lol:

COIN UPDATE

The die drawing was approved this week. Then a sample coin will be struck and final approval given before manufacture. With the increased order size of 1500 coins, it looks like the first week of October for the coins to reach Washington.

Cool! I should be back in Washington by that time. I'll have to put a box out and put one of them in. Got a couple places I've been looking at for some time.
