+mrmnjewel
Our GPSr (Magellan SporTrak) arrived this morning from Amazon. We immediately set out to a location that we knew was close to our house and had our first geocaching experience. It was a relatively quick thing to get to the proper coordinates...Then, it was a matter of a little headscratching while we stumbled around looking for the clever place it was hidden. Finding it was a true rush for us. We're excited and happy and looking forward to finding our next cache! What a great activity for a married couple to do together. Matt & Julia Quote Link to comment

+Tsegi Mike and Desert Viking
Welcome new geocachers, It is a great activity for married couples. Just wait until one of you has a few spare hours and goes off by him or herself. The other will feel left out and grumble...Oops getting personal here. Mike gets a little crabby if I find a good one while he is at work. It's an addiction. Quote Link to comment
DrDumbAss
Nice activity to do with 10-14 yr old kids too. They don't seem to like to go trekking through the bush as much as we did when we were kids (makeshift spears, bow and arrows, etc.)... One way to get 'em out and about on, as my brother calls 'em, our "disfunctional family outings"... "Dr. DumbAss, he da man! If he can find it... anyone can!" Quote Link to comment
+woodsters
Congratulations! We had our first find this past sunday and then just got back from our 2nd and 3rd finds. Just the son and I went out today. Made it a little easier and quicker without the toddler. Brian Wood Woodsters Outdoors http://www.woodsters.com Quote Link to comment
rothko-n-meta
this married couple just started out too -- had our first two finds today after a false start last night on a tricky one. hopefully it will get us outdoors and away from the computers a lot more often! Quote Link to comment
+TheDenvernators
We had our first today, followed shortly afterwards by our 2nd. Took the 12 and 13 year olds along, they thought it was neat. Found out how ill prepared we were for deep woods activities, but all in all still had a blast. The Denvernators Quote Link to comment
