+Renegade Knight
OMG A social trail! What do you guys do to prevent them? Who cares? My virtial wasn’t approved and so you won’t be making a trail to that, now will you? Maybe they would approve it if you had to be naked, oh nevermind not enough WOW. Hey can someone tell me if this is a cache. Yes it’s a micro because it won’t take much of a cache to hide your strategic bits in the photo. Funny coming from someone who is neither armed nor dangerous, but hey thanks for getting the thread locked. Whoah there chief you are being anything but impartial in blaming me for that thread. We need someone who isn’t so dadgum subjective. Yeah but she’s getting married this weekend. Why wasn’t it announced in the forums? Because it’s none of your business so stick to tweaking your avatar every week for the theme of the moment. That reminds me next weeks theme is ducks so help me name a couple of mine. What’s that got to do with caching? Nothing but neither does that troll. Hey that was a nice troll, haven’t seen one of them for ages. Yeah that Mopar’s got yard privileges and maybe even dinner privileges if he’s nice. What’s it take to be nice? I think you don’t put a tag on TB’s is what it takes. True while others are damned if they do and damned if they don’t, but either way they don’t look at Navicache. Ha! For all 8 caches listed there? Why bother? Why? Why does criminal like girls, why does Snoogans like Mystery Woman? Why do I even know this stuff? It’s only a game after all! Yeah but it’s one played by a bunch of guys who are all lesbians trapped in a man body. Does that matter? Now that you mention it no, the obsession is the same. What’s the difference between a lesbian and a loser? 90 degrees. What’s that supposed to mean? I don’t know but I’ll bet it could be made into a commercial cache in Nevada. Which reminds me, Freud was right. It’s all about sex and the media will expose that angle every time. Quote Link to comment

+wimseyguy
ROFLMAO-what made it even funnier was that I read: OMG a social trial! That made the Freudian reference even better. I always thought that Seattle was the triple espresso capital of the US. Now it looks like a small town somewhere in Idaho with bored troublemaking teens is instead. Quote Link to comment

+Mopar
I'm confused (like THAT'S something new). I don't know if I should laugh because RK's post is so dadgum funny... or cry because until he posted this I hadn't noticed that one person who had nothing to add to a topic that had been running continually for 2yrs without a problem could get it locked. Sure hope she doesn't take a disliking to AS. RK, scramble the sentence up a bit and you could probably post this every Friday. Quote Link to comment

If you are referring to this: After consultation with a number of other Groundspeak volunteers and forum moderators, I am closing this topic. That does NOT explain WHY he closed. All it tells me is that the moderator discussed it with some people - not what they decided was the problem. sd Quote Link to comment

+flask
hey, i want to know ALLLL the dirt about Groundspeak. i'm assuming that since it's run by people who are fallible individuals, it ain't perfect. i'd just as well know what's not fabulous about it so i can get on with the business of playing. there's something attractive about being fully informed though, so i'm never in the position of having to say "uh,,, no i didn't know that..." i am also not allowed to have firearms, so the AAD thread just wasn't my cup of tea. i carry pepper spray, a cell phone and a leatherman tool. here's an interesting experiment: i wonder how many topics you can get closed before they ban you. who wants to begin testing? come on now, don't be shy... +Confucius' Cat
My apologies for getting armed and dangerous locked, I thought that at the end of it i contributed to the thread topic and i said what weapons i carry to the field. Niss I assumed I caused the lockdown. I find it interesting that it went on for so long in a "back page" forum when so many like it have been closed down almost immediately in the general forum. Was it because it was not on the "front page" that it was allowed to run so long? That we can't go off on sub-topics and stay with them until they naturally end is a serious shortcoming of the forums IMO. Sub-topics are a natural part of human conversation. To stick solidly to a single topic is very difficult and unnatural. It is especially difficult on a topic that has been discussed to death, as almost all on GC forums have been. So what is the limit of posts to a sub-topic anyway? 1? 2? 3? It seems natural to me to be able to respond to another's posts until the topic or sub-topic comes to its natural end. Seeing your final post I expected you would have closed the topic. That's kinda what a summation would imply. The topic was very good and had been discussed pretty thoroughly anyway. It was a good time to close it. Sorry if I got it closed. I know I contributed to it. Quote Link to comment
