+txrvkats
How do most couples that geocache together handle the GPS issue if you only have one?? My partner & I are having lots of fights about control of the GPS! I am seriously considering getting another just to keep the peace, even though I don't really want to shell out the cash for one. Do most of you take turns or does one person mainly "man" the GPS? It just seems more fun to have the GPS in my hand to me!! Quote Link to comment
+Dave_W6DPS
Just handle it the same way you handle the TV remote. Of course, if that isn't any more harmonious than the GPSr issue, you are on your own. Dave_W6DPS My two cents worth, refunds available on request. (US funds only) Quote Link to comment
Team Kender
I dunno, we just toss it back and forth. If the hunt gets hard and feel we still need to interprit from the GPS where we are supposed to look, Willow will give it a try to find an area to look in. Then while she's looking I'll take a second look at the GPS and recheck the coordinates and stuff. Team Kender - "The Sun is coming up!" "No, the horizon is going down." Quote Link to comment
+yumitori
I got Peggy her own GPSr for her birthday, which lets us both wander in our own circles instead of wandering together... But originally we tried taking turns; one of us would carry the unit on one cache, then the other would do so the next time. Ron/yumitori --- Remember what the dormouse said... Quote Link to comment
+sept1c_tank
The GPSr is a tool to get you close to the cache. Work as a team to get within 50-100 ft. of the cache, put it away, and each of you can rely on individual logic to actually find the cache. Often times there will be that much of an error/descrepancy anyway. ==============="If it feels good...do it"================ **(the other 9 out of 10 voices in my head say: "Don't do it.")** . +Renegade Knight
It's simple. I handle the GPS and my wife finds the cache when I'm still looking for ground zero. Quote Link to comment
+Logscaler and Red
Same here RK. While I am looking at the little green screen, I keep hearing " Here it is." Problem solved. logscaler. "It is not fair to have a battle of wits with unarmed people." Quote Link to comment

+WildGooseChase
I do most of the driving so she does the navigating in the car. Once we park, we just take turns with the GPS. I wanted to get a new ETrex last night but she nixed that idea. Quote Link to comment
+Mark 42
I think what I will end up with is this scenario: Wife & kids will do enough caching while I'm at work that when we go together she'll let me hold the GPS because it's nothing special to her after doing so many w/o me. Clown Knife
I bought my other half a GPS unit for XMAS. When we go cache hunting we each have one which makes hunting much more fun. Also, we now each have a unit for our cars. Quote Link to comment
