The Make Believers
I leave a little bag of dress up jewelry/nail polish for little girls. I do girly dress up parties for my biz, so I like to make sure that little girls can always find something cool in a cache. I tie it up with a nice ribbon. I'm working on a card to add in, now that we are starting again. Too hot in the summer in FL. We only geocache in the fall and winter. But, we're wimps. Quote Link to comment
+Chuy!
I am latino/hispanic/Mex-Am etc...; I leave lowrider Matchbox cars, but not always as I am not a millionaire yet. I buy them in packs of 5 at Target, Walmart, etc... at about 4 bucks each. Quote Link to comment
D2Cacher
My caching name is from Diablo II: Lord of Destruction on line RPG (d2). So I leave handcrafted wire and bead angels. Quote Link to comment
MMACH 5
These are what we use, now. I can customize them any way I want, (notice the car has 2 "M"s just like our screen name ). I just put out a whole series of caches with the clear ones as FTF prizes. Edited September 24, 2004 by MMACH 5 Quote Link to comment
+Awsome Ev
The only thing that I leave at the moment is my sig card I also have a stamp to. that is all I have at the moment. Edited September 24, 2004 by Awsome Ev Quote Link to comment
+the hermit crabs
We've been looking for something to use as a sig item that would be useful, at least vaguely caching-relating, and personalized. We just settled on these pens: Flip the side thingy up and there's a little flashlight: Great for signing the logbook in a night cache! Quote Link to comment
Agent N.
I like that little light Quote Link to comment
+Criminal
Now available in a cache near you....or not. Quote Link to comment
+jamrasc
We got smiley face pencils with geocaching.com on them and our name. Also, flashlight necklaces. Quote Link to comment
Lucky_Strike
I leave a pair of plastic dice; kinda sorta fits with my caching handle. Quote Link to comment
+TotemLake
Now available in a cache near you....or not. So you finally got those in! Very cool! Quote Link to comment
+grandkid 38
We purchased 1200 plastic gold mardi gras coins and leave several at each cache as our signature item..folks seem to like them Quote Link to comment
+Gekobear
I've been using a sig sticker for the log books because I don't do too much trading. It says who I am and the date I was there, just the basics. Quote Link to comment
tsk
I like to leave date nails that I pried up from an old rail bed. I must've pulled out 300-400. I leave 'em in a little baggie and a card explaining what they are. Most of them are about 80 years old or so. Edited September 28, 2004 by tsk Quote Link to comment
+planemaker
I am a pilot (check out my name....go figure), and I leave a pair of minature pilot wings with "C-152" in the centre. They are small, relatively rare. Quote Link to comment
+Bear_Left
We have a couple of little items that we place when a cache has really impressed us, or for most of our FTFs (unless they're really lame!) The main one is a multifunction card: and we also leave some little LED torches (and aren't these suckers getting BRIGHT?!) I used one of these to navigate my way back to the car when I stayed out getting that one.... last... waypoint until it was quite dark! Quote Link to comment
+Joypa
My daughter gave me a bunch of polished gem-like stones. I've been leaving them as a sort of signature item. I'm still looking for a good one. Some neat ideas here. Quote Link to comment
The Bluetooth's
We use the Get Out of Hell Free Cards from ghoof.com Quote Link to comment
+maple.hill
Great Ideas all round We use hand made wooden orniments. My wife makes them on the scroll saw an hand paints them. They are all unique and with the selection we have (about 20 types) we try to spread the types around. . We have a little problem around here. there are only about 4 couple cahing so we are all well stocked on each others sig items! Quote Link to comment
+MrCOgeo
Here's my newly "minted" GeoTokens - made of plastic and thick like a poker chip. Soon to be trackable I hope as well! PS: I promise I am not cross-posting, just really proud! Quote Link to comment
+The Puzzler
I've been making wire and string puzzles as well as "Puzzler Cards" for my signature items. Quote Link to comment
+Konnarock Kid & Marge
Our trademark items are 1904 and 1906 indian-head pennies placed in a little baggie. They are worth far more than 1 cent but the value to us are the years. They are the birth years of my Father and Mother. Kinda like a little memorial to them. We also add some little plastic animal or a car for the kids. Quote Link to comment
+hikemeister
This is an 'old but good' question. I collect smooth limestone rocks from a local beach, paint a GC logo on them and write 'Hikemeister' and the year. I also leave these in my caches for first finders, making them a bit more fancy and writing the name of the cache and 'First Finder' on the back of the stone. Quote Link to comment
+Square Bear
We finally got out nickels in and here they are. Quote Link to comment
+Live Strong
We leave our sig card and usually 2 or 3 of our sig items which are the yellow LIVESTRONG wristband that are used by the Lance Armstrong Foundation to bring awareness to cancer research and survivor suport programs. My girls are 7 and 9 now and both have experienced the loss of imediate family members and a favorite teacher to cancer. Quote Link to comment
+teamkimble
You guys have such cool ideas! I really like the wire puzzles, too! We've been trying to decide what our sig item should be for awhile. I think we're going to end up with bandannas that have our team name embroidered on them (I have an embroidery machine). I never leave my house to go caching without one, but I don't know if other people would appreciate it. Quote Link to comment
+The Puzzler
. . . bandannas that have our team name . . . but I don't know if other people would appreciate it. I think those would be very cool! Quote Link to comment

+DorothyMacaw
It's not much, but if Dorothy Macaw is with me when I find a cache I leave one of her feathers that fall out when she sheds them. I hate to think of all the sqwacking that is going to go on when I take her caching and forget to take along one of those feathers. "Ok Dorothy take one for the team while I pull this feather out". Dave Lucas
I was leaving glass insulators, from an old telegraph line, from ummm... not telling. :-) North of Lake Ontario. I stopped when I began to run out. The dogs are getting too old for the rather rough and long hike out to where I was getting them, and I don't go hiking without them. Quote Link to comment
+Byron & Anne
I leave this thing called "Byron's Famous Stump Pin" See Avatar for picture. Quote Link to comment
+shadowcacher
Great ideas! Thanks for everyone for posting. As a new cacher, I've not thought a lot about a sig item. You all have some very creative items. Now I am encouraged to come up with something as unusual as you all have. Quote Link to comment
+kcmose
I have a regular sized carabiner with my username lazer engraved on it. There is also a small graphic of a hiker in the hills next to the name. I've gotten pretty good response/compliments to the carabiner Quote Link to comment
+G O Casher
I am considering making several of these miniature Garmin etrex Legend C's as an item to place. They cost pennies to make, and about 20 minutes each. I think fellow cachers would get a kick out of finding one. They can be used as a desk ornament, or just get passed along. It will be interesting to see what folks think. Quote Link to comment

+fly46
After a ton of searching, I have finally managed to come across flies that aren't massively overpriced. I found them on clearance a pack of 17 for 25 cents and they glow in the dark. If I had the money I'd leave a pack at a time, but since I don't, I bought a couple dollars worth and I leave one in every cache - most micros included. I don't expect people to trade for them, just take one if they'd like to. My next plan is a signature card. Quote Link to comment
+fly46
Those are massively cool. Quote Link to comment

Pipanella
Thanks Fly46,I'm hopin' people like them. I can't imagine that anyone wouldn't! I don't think those would stay in a cache long. How do you make them? Quote Link to comment
+G O Casher
They're pretty simple. Cut a block of wood (I use a furring strip, 2" x 1.5") Print out a color pic of the GPSr you want, in the size you want. Paste on to front of wood shape wood block with a Dremmel tool to resemble the shape of the GPSr. Paint black. Use push pins with black round heads as buttons. Drill hole in bottom and glue a looped string. That's the basics. You can get more creative with detail as you see fit. Quote Link to comment
+Marky
They're pretty simple. ... That's the basics. You can get more creative with detail as you see fit. That sounds like even I could do it. I'll have to give that a try. Quote Link to comment

+Planet
ok, I'll post this here again. I make hand made items, and no two are completely alike. Here is a sampling The Geo-Egg: GeoBeads, used for necklaces and with other creations: The necklace, fun for little kids: GeoBracelet, each bead has the geologo running through it: More Beads: And my newest creations, Mini garden accents, they don't all have to be about caching do they?: Quote Link to comment
+GeoBrowns
We had a stash of wine corks because we belong to several wine clubs, go wine tasting a lot and have wine tasting get togethers often so it just seemed natural to add our geocache name to a cork as our signature item. As we run out, we can just ask for more at the wineries. Now I just need to have a stamp made up so I can sign them faster. Lots of wonderful ideas here and some very talented people! madapple
I have always left a "Larry Bird" Basketball card. Part because I manage his property and part because I am from his home town. Edited October 21, 2004 by madapple Quote Link to comment

MoseyingAlong
We are new to geocaching and are trying to come up with a fun signature item for less than $1. Our idea involves Silly Putty. We would buy a 5 lb. block of the original Silly Putty (from sillyputty.com) and put it into easter eggs or film canisters ourselves (this way we could have bigger portions than normal and save money on packaging). We would make a signature label to put on the container. What do you think of this idea? Would you take it? Would your kids like it? Do you think it's a good idea? We welcome any feedback you might have. Do you have any other ideas for containers? Thanks for your input! Quote Link to comment
+amytincan
well, I have only cached once...I have a handful of miniature ceramic figurines. I know it takes time to develop a signature but I would like to have something that is not exactly the same thing all the time, lost ya didn't I? Quote Link to comment
