Lake Superior Caches Trip

We, The Noels, are taking a circle tour of Superior starting in Michigan and are planning on seeing as many waterfalls as possible. We are allowing 7 days for the full trip.

 

Along the way we would like to search as many caches as possible. I read there have been some problems with the Provincial parks and am not sure which caches are still in place. Also, being not from the area, we are not sure as to the towns/parks/roads that would be near caches and waterfalls. There are several good guides to waterfalls in Canada but not much help searching caches. The same is true for the Midwest of the States.

 

We'll do most hikes but mountain climbing, etc is our of our comfort zone.

 

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

I'm going to also post this in the Midwest section of the forums.

 

The trip will be the second week of September.

These caches are all close to Highway 17 which goes around the lake on the Canadian side.

I was reading the logs on this one:

 

algoma4 - GC1685

 

and it sounds pretty good - Terrain 2.5 and a 1/2 km walk.

 

Oh, and while you're there, could you rescue a poor TB that is up there ? I don't think Flamingos really like cold weather.

If the TB is still there I can get him to the south end of Michigan. Too bad my trip to Florida isn't for awhile.
