I think the limit is 125K or 600 pixels. For forum posts, it can be as whopping big as you want since all you're doing in the post is providing the URL to where the picture is actually located Quote Link to comment

Keystone Posted August 12, 2004 Share Posted August 12, 2004 You need to upload the picture from your hard drive to someplace on the internet, and then point the image tag at the URL of wherever your image is located on the internet. Good places for uploading include your GC.com profile page, although this isn't its intended use. If you have a personal website or free webspace from your ISP, that would work fine, too.
