Dinoprophet
It's not hard, folks. You only have to look as good as this <--- Some pics of my prize: Edited August 7, 2004 by Dinoprophet Quote Link to comment

+marmetion
I changed my avatar after I started the EMS Post. Even though the avatar would look good on a staff, I don't need one, I do my own. So please don't vote on mine. I just wanted to show it off again Quote Link to comment
+Seamus
I like to have a bit of fun with my avatar, but I generally try to stick to the basic theme. Clockwise from left: Traffic Safety Awareness Day, Cinco de Mayo, Sock Puppet Day, 4th of July, One-man Satellite Uplink, Canada Day, Apollo 11 Landing Anniversary, Tinfoil Hat (protection from the orbital mind-control lasers) Edit: Should probably include an actual avatar-sized version, huh? Oh yeah!...well, you don't live downwind of all that cheese and cow pastry. i live in the country. the smell of cow residue is not unknown to me. i still like the avatar. Would that smell be that of "dairy air"? Bec Quote Link to comment

Neos2
If I could figure out how to get my avatar onto the page, I would submit it for consideration. I did it! I am so proud of me! (Figured out how to add an avatar that is) And it only took me half a dozen tries...Anyway, this is the avatar. Husband's is the same as mine, except his has "I" in the center instead of "II" Edited August 7, 2004 by Neos2 Quote Link to comment
kimmyroo
I would like to submit mine. All I would really need is Roo with a butterfly like this.... or even more simple. Thanks. Kimmyroo Quote Link to comment
+Mudfrog
We have a couple of hiking sticks that i made a long time ago and they are definitely nothing fancy. Chicken's isn't holding up as well, so this would be an even better than perfect replacement. Would love to win this for her! Quote Link to comment
+Shop99er
WTH, I'll throw mine into the ring. It's very carvable, and can always be painted later...... It also reflects my general view on life. Quote Link to comment

+AmishHacker
I was so happy to see this contest. If I created any avatar for someone that wins, I would be happy to try and convert it to line art for you. Here is my submission. As you can see I took out the pockets and added suspenders. By the looks of some of the previous sticks by El Dialbo, flat color can be added. The shirt should be a light blue if color is done. I had to remove a lot of shadows and mess with the eyes and nose a little bit. I hope you like it. It has been a dream of mine ever since I started Geocaching to get an El Diablo stick. It would be a great touch to my 1 Year Geocaching Anniversary coming up this month. Color Line Art Thank you El Diablo for giving back to the Geocaching Community. Good luck to everyone. +Marky
Just a note: I'm currently only adding real avatars to the database. It should be easy enough to make any of the images into an avatar by uploading them to your account and then selecting them as an avatar. I mean, this is an avatar contest, not an image contest, right? --Marky Quote Link to comment
+Cloudchaser
Marky and El Diablo: I would like to enter my Avatar. Amish Hacker has been kind enough to offer to make it into line art should it actually win as it is one he created. Thank you, Cloudchaser Quote Link to comment
AZcachemeister
If Snoogans can do it, so can I! It should be apparent which one I like the best! Quote Link to comment

+El Diablo
Okay, I entered all the line art (or close enough to line art) entries into the database. I will attempt to keep up with the entries. Feel free to e-mail me if you think I missed your entry. --Marky Marky, Go a head and list all avatars wether or not line art. So far I haven't seen an avatar that I can't do...or at least come close. I even did one of JC the puppy monster for mtn-man and that turned out rather well I thought. El Diablo Quote Link to comment

I still need them to be real avatars (i.e. the image path should be //img.Groundspeak.com/user/avatar/<some weird number or guid>.jpg ) It's easiest for me if the avatar you are submitting is your current avatar. --Marky Edited August 7, 2004 by Marky Quote Link to comment

+Perrin
OK, I'm not sure which avatar of mine would do better. Mostly I would just want the outline of the wolf. But if people like the one with the GC logo behind it better then I will stick with that one. Quote Link to comment

WolfWalker
Hi El Diablo! Actually, nothing is wrong with it, it's just that the one I finally got to show here would make for an easier carving, although I really do like the dark wolf with snow. LOL! I found this new one yesterday, and did a bit of cropping to show just a wolf howling. :-) Quote Link to comment
+El Diablo
Looks like you got it to show. I actually preferred the original. El Diablo Quote Link to comment
