+GEO*Trailblazer 1
3-D Terrain Viewer DG TERRAIN VIEWER This one is a little hard to use. If some one finds the best way to use it let us know. Quote Link to comment
+GeckoGeek
I don't think Terraserver is all that new. Many map products pull their photos from it. Including USAPhotoMap (free). Quote Link to comment
+lostinflorida
Been using terraserver for 4-5 years. Started using it for scouting purposes while Hunting. I use expert GPS as a waypoint manager and for getting topo and satillite pictures of all new areas that I am exploring. Expert GPS is the best program that I have found. If doing caches or BM you can down load the complete waypoints from the server to a .loc file on your desktop and then open them up in Expert. Saves a ton of time. All topos are first downloaded from web and then saved on computer. They give a 30 day trial it is really usefull in this geo sport of ours. I just finished downloading all the BM's in my zipcode and have them all mapped and ready to download on my GPS. I use the satillites pics for overview and building recon. Quote Link to comment
+GeckoGeek
Not to bash Expert GPS which probably is more capable, I would always advise checking out USAPhotoMaps which seems to use the same maps and is also able to talk to a GPS before spending money. Quote Link to comment
CallawayMT
I agree with ExpertGPS, it's worth the money. I tried USAPhotoMaps and it was very confusing and not very user friendly. ExpertGPS is much quicker to get what you want. My nickels worth. Quote Link to comment
mloser
I never tried ExpertGPS because USA Photo Maps gives me everything I need and it is fast. Just to show you everyone has an opinion! Quote Link to comment
+Milbank
I'm a fan of ExpertGPS too. I did the 30 day trial and really liked it. After the 30 day's I went back to easyGPS only to find that I missed not having the maps. So I bought ExpertGPS and use it often. Quote Link to comment
