TheScott
Info on the SD cards for my MeriPlat states 8, 16, 32, 64, and more. Anyone know if there's a real limit, or will ANY SD card work? Quote Link to comment

adampierson
Are there any modifications that need to be made to get a 256MB SD card to work? I tried using a 256MB card in my Merigreen and I couldn't get it to load the maps. Adam Pierson Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
I don't know of any reports - positive or negative - of cards above 512MB in Meridians. Certain brands of cards have a compat problem with Meridians that was fixed in version 5.x firmware for all Meridians except green & yellow. For those, it was fixed in 4.05 which isn't available in Magellan's web site. You have to either pester Magellan for it or get it from the yahoogroup listed in the FAQ below. Quote Link to comment
+mattt
I have a MeriGreen and I tried a 128MB and I couldn't get it to work. I'm using a 32MB now with no problems. Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
Do you have 4.05? If not, then you probably have one of the affected cards I just described. Quote Link to comment

There is an upload size limit. I don't re-call what but I remember I had to upload the western US topos in about 4 or 5 chunks. Quote Link to comment
+EScout
A 128 MB card works fine in my Merigreen. This is a good size that will hold lots of maps. After rebate, they are costing about $15 to 18 recently, so this is the size I am using in my camera. Quote Link to comment

The region sizes can be changed to 64 megs, you can find out how to do it at the magellan yahoo groups. Although I keep my regions to around 32 megs, they seem to load a lot faster and with less problems. Quote Link to comment

+embra
Any brand that conforms to the SD standard should work. Quote Link to comment
