+Northern Trekker
The noon-time NPR broadcast today had an article about GEOCACHING! They interviewed a Brian Roth - a PROFESSIONAL GEOCACHER ? (someone gets PAID to do this??) ... anyway it was a good description of the geocaching hobby and will without a doubt generate more interest. Tom Quote Link to comment
+Harrald
A scan of this page may explain who Mr. Roth is. Quote Link to comment
+Robespierre
Oh, no! Are we that cerebral and boring that NPR would cover us?? Quote Link to comment
GeoWorms
I heard the spot--it was very good. They broadcast it during the "Geography quiz" part of "The World" show. He was specific to mention that they are NOT BURIED, and he got the inevitable "Why would anyone do this???" question. Definitely good PR. Quote Link to comment
+beatnik
Oh, no! Are we that cerebral and boring that NPR would cover us?? Hate to break it to you but they were reporting on geocaching before you were a geocacher. Quote Link to comment

+mtn-man
Well, I just got back from a GGA Organizational meeting. Looks like this topic can get back on topic, or at least back to the intended topic since I change the spelling. Technically speaking, it was spelled right, by the way. Quote Link to comment

+Team Tierra Buena
If you want to hear the segment, the audio is available HERE Thanks for the link. I'm glad I got to hear it. I also listened to the question segment that preceded it. I was disappointed to discover that our "Professional Geocacher" doesn't seem to understand the difference between seconds and decimal minutes when reading coordinates. I hope the book got it right.
