+MeIsMook
We are taking a trip down to Hampshire at the end of next week, near Romsey somewhere. Can anyone recomend any good cache to do...especially with a 3 year old in tow We will be in the area for about a fortnight. Quote Link to comment
NeilFord
Hampshire is loaded with caches. Do a search based around Winchester, you should find loads of suitable ones. There are a couple of good ones in Farley Mount Country Park. Hopefully one of the Hampshire residents on here will pipe up with some more examples. - Neil. Quote Link to comment
+Kouros
While I couldn't comment on the caches in Farley Mount, I can heartily recommend this one if you can get the kiddiwink up a hill. There's a few caches within walking distance of this one, and this is a nice one to start or finish with. Quote Link to comment
+Birders
We had several in the Pennington/ Keyhaven areas a few days ago - lovely run down through the New Forest, where there were lots of gorgeous foals and ice cream shops. Check our cache page.. (Note that as far as we can tell most New Forest caches have been archived although there are still one or two Virtuals still available). Quote Link to comment
Krazy Kats
Check out my caches all close to Romsey. If you try Abbey View I suggest breaking for a while to take your three your old in the playground. That should pacify them for a while although you may have problems getting them out again. There are a few others in the vicinity. Just type Romsey into Geocacheuk.com cache search page. Have fun! +robaz and the bear
The Garmin Europe Office is in Romsey, if you enter their Post Code SO51 9AQ in the "To locate the nearest geocaches in your area..." in Geocaching.com, you will find 80 pages of caches. Quote Link to comment
+The Hole-in-the-wall Gang
As mentioned, there are plenty of great caches around Romsey. Also, if you travel north towards Andover (20mins) there are some more nice caches, Quantum Leap Part 1 is a really great Multi and is in a nice location ( our kids really enjoyed it ), also The Cockatrice is in a really nice location where you can paddle in the stream on a warm day. Buryed Treasure ( one of ours ) is a short walk in an interesting location. There are plenty more great ones around the area. Hope you have a nice holiday, John.
