Palisades Trails

Campmor doesn't have the soon to be updated Hudson Palisades area trail maps. I did pick up a more recent Sterling Forest map.

 

They are out of the old Palisades maps and the sign they have is updated to show an 8/22 delivery date for new maps. http://www.nynjtc.org/maps.html near the bottom is the set I was looking for.

 

Does any know of any links online to where there are trail maps of that area? Rockland State Park, Blauvelt State Park and Tallman Mountain State Park are the specific areas I'm looking for.

 

I'll search online but if anyone has any links they bookmarked and wouldn't mind posting them, it would be appreciated.

I've been looking for maps of those parks since I started caching. I've been to the town hall of quite a few nearby towns. If you find a source please let me know too.

 

The one good thing about those parks is that they are long and narrow. It's easy to bushwhack from one side to the other.

I saw at least 1 of the parks on the Hudson Palisades map they had left for display purposes. I didn't look close enough to see if all the parks I mentioned were on it. If anyone has this old one, maybe they can look.

From the old locator, it looks like all the parks are included. Did you try going to the Trail Conference office? Even though it's out of print, they may have some.

 

If it's not convenient for you, I could check it out at lunch tomorrow (it's only a few miles from work).

Thanks for the offer Foster. It's not far from me either. The image you linked to is helpful and it looks like it covers the parks. Hmmmm - maybe I'll call them tomorrow and see if they have it. Wonder how out of date it is.
