+Team DEMP
If someone in the Northern NJ area (Verona/Caldwell) is looking for a nice loop with easier terrain, Hilltop Reservation should be considered. I did the loop today and found 7 caches. The loop was about 3.5 miles with minimal bushwhacking, though some deer trails I took could be considered bushwhacking since the grass was pretty tall. Other logs showed folks spotted ticks on them, but I was clean after I was finished. The terrain is pretty level and any time you can park and get 7 caches without getting back in your car, I'm all for it! To see a track log of my hike today, check out my log at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...1a-a330536ca354 Quote Link to comment

+Straatmaker 5
The Hilltop caches are on our to-do list. Though we will most likely have to make a couple trips. 3.5 miles is tough on a 3 year old (not to mention the adults, each carrying a 23+ pound toddler on their backs). Or find a babysitter for the day! Quote Link to comment
avroair
I would suggest to anyone to park in the parking lot off Mountain Ave if you don't want to walk up the hill on Fairview Ave. Either way is interesting. Quote Link to comment

mortonfox
There's another entrance at the end of Glenview Rd for those of the cache-and-dash persuasion. Quote Link to comment
+Old Man Walking
Thanks "Team DEMP" & "SERG312". I did the Hilltop 8 loop with my Son, "Cachehopper" today, and really enjoyed it. We met "Team CATAHOULA" on the trail. The first time meeting anybody. We followed "Quoddy" but never caught up to him. What a Great DAy! Quote Link to comment
