J.A.R.S.
I'm going geocaching with my 10 year old niece and my 6 year old nephew (and their parents) in the Niagara Falls area on Friday. My sweet little nephew trips over his own feet on a regular basis, and of course he runs everywhere instead of walks, like all kids do. It freaks out the adults, especially when we're near cliffs and crevices. So I need to know what caches in the Niagara Falls region would be safe and kid-friendly. I want the kids to have fun and the adults to be able to relax. Quote Link to comment
+The Blue Quasar
Here is a quick list of some caches you can do with kids. I will add a comment after each as well. Powerslave's First http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...db-b31e60c1c2b5 The walk is about 320m and flat, no fear of anything like hills or water. Battle of Chippawa http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...51-c70de0a63e4f Easy tour, but hold hands for the final part The Battle of Queenston Heights http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...e7-f91aa6f98457 Awesome multi, and safe. Plus if you are there before 430 for $1 for kids $2 for adults you can climb Brock's Monument for a great view (235 steps) The Other End of the Trail http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...35-1924a0d82789 Virtual Cache, great to do during BOQH The Zodiac Series : Aries http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...33-e1b452009c13 The Zodiac Series : Taurus http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...42-dfa6c67f5e8a Both are reachable from Queenston Heights, should tired out the running boy quite well. The Girly Cache http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...46-7e27fcd12191 If you are going to visit historic Niagara on the Lake, this is just a short drive (5 min) past there, and great for the 10 year old niece. (DO NOT DO my BLUE BOX 2 - TUESDAY while you are there!) And of course, Niagara Falls Virtual http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...fa-191cf2991154 I haven't done it, but if you are parking in the Falls anyway this can be easily done. Hope it helps, enjoy the trip! The Blue Quasar Quote Link to comment
