+C&E Posted July 8, 2004 Share Posted July 8, 2004 I spooked a BIG Black Bear in VA doing "At the rock" (gc1a6c). I think he must have been there when we went up hill past him but we were more quiet (had to breath). We were headed downhill and were able to talk and all of a sudden he was up and moving away from us, down hill, at an angle to the trail. No problem as long as they are headed the other way.
