+Turkey Trotter
Ok, I recently boucht a PocketPC navigation system from Aldi and was wondering if there is any geocaching software available which would allow me to enter GPS coords of car parks near caches . Unfortunately the software supplied only works with street names/postcodes which isn't really any great help. Quote Link to comment
NeilFord
Search back through this forum and you will find plenty of previous detailed replies that will probably help quite considerably. GPSTuner by Megalith Software is one of the better GPS display applications. GPXSonar is probably the caching tool of choice. Are you looking for mapping or just a directional pointer to the location? - Neil. Quote Link to comment
+DomHeknows
Use stats.gcuk.com and get a list of the caches. Then use the link to streetmap and click on the highest magnification - this will give you street names on the map which you can then enter into tomtom....at least you get postcode - you don't with my version of tomtom which is a right pain when going to "main street" and there are about 30 of them listed in the options. +Grant Clan
A lot of caches give coordinates for local carparks - you could create a POI file for TOMTOM using POIEDIT and then let TOMTOM guide you there. If you need any help email me - I've just been setting up my Dell Axim for caching and been trying all sorts of software out. Quote Link to comment
