+2GeoGrannies
I just ran my first query and OE deleted the attachment...I requested a zip file, but it still removed it. Is there a setting in OE I can change so I can receive my pocket queries? Link to comment
Jeremy
That's an odd one. I don't have Outlook Express but asked someone who does and they receive the Zip files fine. Perhaps there is a kb article on Microsoft that addresses this security "feature"? Link to comment
+beejay&esskay
I use Outlook Express but don't use zip files (sorry, Jeremy). I'm away from the computer with Outlook Express, but I recall a security setting in it for how to handle attachments that may have viruses. (zip files in general can, but, of course, Jeremy's are clean.) One of the options is probably "remove"...so you aren't even tempted to get to that "virus". If you don't find that setting by evening, I'll look for it when I get home. Edited June 14, 2004 by beejay&esskay Link to comment
+mattt
Open Outlook Express tools - options - security tab uncheck 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus' This should work if you could see the attachment paperclip but could not save the file from the e-mail. If the attachment is deleted and doesn't even come withthe e-mail then I don't know the solution. Link to comment
