motoXman
Can anyone tell me where on the net you can go to punch in street addresses or coords and get a corresponding arial photo of that area??? I used to have a really neat website saved in my favorites list, but my PC crashed uber bad and now all that is gone. I thought I got the link initially from Geocaching.com but now am unable to find any reference to it. Thanks in advance for the help!!! Quote Link to comment

+Kit Fox
I used the terraserver link, but the photo of my house and property was 9 years old. Does anyone know an actual satellite imaging company that you can order a color photo of your property if you provide the waypoint? I have made many improvements to my 2 1/2 acre "yard" and would love to see a color photo of it. If anyone has done this, what does it cost? Thanks Bill. Edit: I found a promising link: www.globexplorer.com Edited June 13, 2004 by Kit Fox Quote Link to comment
Jeremy
If you want to get the most current (and best) satellite imagery available, use DigitalGlobe. They have the QuickBird satellite which has the best resolution on the market. You'll have to spend more ($200+) but it's worth it. Quote Link to comment

It costs money each year, but I like to use Keyhole - http://www.keyhole.com/ Being able to fly from place to place and scan back and forth is a really useful feature if you're looking for new and interesting places to hide a cache. They have a trial version - it's fun to play with, even if you don't want to pay the $35 per year for it. Quote Link to comment

+rusty_tlc
Check your local city planning agency web site. We have remarkable photos available free to the public. Our city planning agency "re-flys" the area every year or two. Quote Link to comment
+Nuwati
Try quakemap. Great software with a cool waypoints manager. Nuwati Quote Link to comment
+High-Tech Redneck
I like ExpertGPS for both topo maps and satellite photos. They are terraserver sat images so they are just as old, but I use it to manage my tracks and waypoints from my GPS and just love it. Quote Link to comment
