I am new to this (silly) sport and new to my Garmin. Is ther any way I can enter the Lats and Longs as a goto? I am have somewhat of a hard time finding any cache(s) as I can not get my Lats and Longs together. Or is this what makes this fun? Also seems like all the geo cache(s) in my area are several years old....

If you do it manually, just mark a waypoint and change the coordinates. Its a lot easier to use EasyGPS software, if you're going to be loading several waypoints, then upload to your GPSr. :back:

Press and hold the "click stick" until it marks a waypoint. Scroll up to the coord box and press the "click stick" that'll pop up a screen with numbers, to edit the lat and long. You can also scroll up and change the name, and waypoint symbol.

Just like IV Warrior said - and after you enter the coordinates in the "location" field, use the click stick to navigate down the screen until the "Goto" button is highlighted. Click on the stick again by pushing it down, like a button, and the pointer on the Vista will be pointing right at the coordinates. Follow the arrow to the cache. Welcome to the addiction!

Maybe I have been lucky. I took my Etrix out of the box, turned on, and me and bf/partner found the page that tells you what L/L you are at. Seems to have worked well so far. Of course, we are only at 3 and those were virtuals. Starting on Traditionals this weekend. We will see. :back:
