spexmaniac
I use Mapsource Metroguide and Roads and rec Europe. Is there a quick way to get the cache locations into Mapsource, at the moment I just open each loaction page, copy and paste the co-ords into my mapsurce create waypoint window. Is there a more efficient way to do this? thanks in advance John Quote Link to comment
+Team DEMP
There are 2 different formats you can download caches from geocaching.com using - LOC and GPX. You can use programs such as EasyGPS or GSAK or others to load up those file(s) in, sort the data, etc and then export them to your unit. EasyGPS doesn't interface with MapSource but you can sent to your GPS from EasyGPS and then in MapSource, transfer the waypoints from the GPS to MapSource. GSAK would allow you to either export the waypoints to your GPS or to a MPS file that MapSource can open. There's also a program called EasyMPS which you could use to convert to MPS (MapSource) format. http://www.geocaching.com/waypoints/default.aspx has some links to various software programs, etc. Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
GPSBabel and therefore programs that use GPSBabel, like GSAK, can also do this. Quote Link to comment

+JHutch
Followup - I just got a new laptop that has bunches of USB ports but no SERIAL port, yet EasyGPS seems to want to look there for my 60C - any help? John Quote Link to comment
+Team DEMP
I don't use EasyGPS nor do I have a USB GPS, but from reading the forums, I think you need to get a more recent version of EasyGPS. According to http://www.easygps.com/beta.asp you might need a newer version. Quote Link to comment
