JohnnyVegas Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 This event has lots of Yellow Jeeps being droped off http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...95-f23e5a6ee484 Badges#3 Badges#3[/url] Quote
hedberg Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 I really like the icon of the yellow jeep instead of the standard bug icon. Funny thing about the user "Jeep4x4" LINK. Member since year 2000? I think the only way for us to log a yellow jeep (we missed the Yellow Jeep Fever with a few days ) will be to find one of these in Europe, and that might be difficult Quote

Seamus Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 ...so is anyone other than me waiting for a photo of a giant packing crate full of little yellow jeeps? (If I can't enter the contest, I can at least play along at home...In Florida.) Quote
IV_Warrior Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 It would be neat to at least see a pic of a group's batch of jeeps together before distribution. Quote

WalruZ Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 That is a very cool picture. I have said before elsewhere that the yellow jeeps are no big deal. They are not owned by real people and they do not offer the "person to person" connection that a 'real' travel bug has. Touch one, log one, get over it. Quote
Rebel Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Cool pic! Here in the South, we call that "drafting." Another event tomorrow. Quote
Stunod Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 We are spending the evening arranging our 60 YJTB's into all sorts of weird designs. So far, we've made the outline of a Jeep with the GX logo in the middle, a huge GX logo, and a side view of Hydee. I really need to get a life. Still waiting for a picture, KA Quote
Team GPSaxophone Posted June 12, 2004 Posted June 12, 2004 Sax and Pika played a duet as the first YJTB's were dropped off yesterday. Quote

NevaP Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 (edited) This afternoon CarleenP, in her usual sedate manner, presided over the distribution of Yellow Jeeps to Nebraska cachers. Edited June 13, 2004 by NevaP Quote
Milbank Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 Nebraska, Getting closer, cool I hope I don't have to drive to the other side of the state to find one in South Dakota. BTW: If anyone needs help placing some (hint, hint) I would be happy to help Quote
NevaP Posted June 13, 2004 Posted June 13, 2004 I thinkCarleen was counting out a batch of them, 40 or so, that she was sending to someone in South Dakota. Quote
JT & PJ Cole Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 There will be a few in SE GA just as soon as I get those pesky yellow bugs off of the front of my Jeep. Quote
