Ok here goes I need help with the graphics and the idea for the logo.

 

With the help and blessings of SixDogTeam the creator of the Indiana Spirit Quest I'm starting a North Dakota Spirit Quest. I need a logo for the series that will go on each cache page.

 

Here is the one for ISQ.

 

 

For North Dakota I'm not sure what I want. The shape and size and background are fine. Maybe change the ground to more of a yellow brown like the prairie grass up here in the summer and fall. However anything that will make the finished logo look good will be fine.

 

The wording should be changed to NORTH DAKOTA SPIRIT QUEST.

 

For the center image I first was thinking of something with a bison. (Symbol of the State) but that's not what I would really want.

 

The real idea I had was to have the upper portion of a coup stick, (the crooked part) with an old style plow sillouetted in the center. The words could be wrapped around the crook of the coup stick on the inside or the outside.

We would love an avatar. Our family is made up of 4 members. Husband, wife, 4yr old daughter, and 2yr old daughter. We make up Clan B. We are Canadians made up of Scottish decent. Husband is from Clan Cochran and myself (wife) is from Clan Wallace. Clan B. refers to our last name of Bowden which is an adopted name. Would love to see something illustrated of the four of us. Husband bald w/ goatee and quite fit. Wife curly auburn hair, shoulder length, average sized. Oldest daughter is tall and lean, not much hair but curly. Youngest daughter is known for her big blue eyes and has a round face. Hair is slowly coming in. Hope this is the information you are looking for. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I like this image, but would like the green circle border to be cleaned up and the words replaced with "Smokey Bear Collector" and "Geocaching Since 2007". If possible I'd like the image placed on an image of California. Is it possible to clear up the fuzziness?

The Online Geocacher Magazine ( onlinegeocacher.com ) needs a logo!

 

There is, unfortunately, no art in my soul.

 

So, here's the deal...

 

Create the selected logo to be used in our masthead and in a geocaching.com banner ad and win a nicely stocked ammo can geocache AND a free lifetime subscription to the magazine (OK, it's a free magazine, so everybody gets that, but still!).

 

Create a winning banner ad and win a small (not micro) stocked cache. And the free lifetime subscription, of course! And my undying gratitude... that's gotta be worth something.

 

The logo can be pretty big; it will go in the big blue bar at the top of onlinegeocacher.com where the words "The Online Geocacher

Your Free User-Created Geocaching Magazine" currently appear.

 

The banner ads need to be much smaller yet eye-catching.

 

Look at the banner ads on the left margin of geocaching.com. Right-click on the ad and select Properties to see what size it is and so forth.

 

Groundspeak rules for banner ads can be found at http://www.geocaching.com/about/advertising.aspx

 

Here's the important stuff:

Banner Ads

In order to maintain a consistent layout on the site, we only support one custom banner size: 90x180 pixels. Banners may be submitted in .jpg or .gif format. Animated banners are permitted although they are limited to a maximum of 3 rotations. File size for all banners is limited to 15kb. You may submit multiple banner advertisements to be included with your banner campaign.

 

Anything with the words "The Online Geocacher Magazine" in it will do, then add whatever text and artwork interests you. If you can work in the word FREE please do so.

 

If you can work in "Your FREE Online Geocacher Magazine" and the address "onlinegeocacher.com" without making it too crowded, even better! Or whatever. I am easy. Make something up, it's not like I have any ideas!

 

These banner ads are expensive (and rightfully so... in this game it is THE place to be seen!), but the good folks at Groundspeak are giving us one since what we are doing with The Online Geocacher is free and benefits the whole community. And because I'm so darn good-looking.

 

The Online Geocacher Magazine is not a business... it sells nothing, charges nothing and has no agenda to promote - it is our free and ad-free gift to you.

Avatars here are limited to just 80 pixels wide, so I usually try to stretch them taller so that the detail isn't lost... that's why I turned that one sideways. Here it is rotated:
