"Famous cheater"

Arent you being a little bit dramatic? I read the log and I am assuming you are referring to the cheating part as

"I did correctly locate the hiding spot though, as I rehid the cache."

Big freaking deal!! Does this make him a famous cheater because he did things a little backwards(i.e. signed log book and replaced cache)...not in my books.

If he is a cheater than everyone who participates in a group cache is a cheater...since it is usually only one or two who find the cache and scream for the rest of us.

Just my 2 cents

Nickie...........a cheater too <_<

well then maybe I'm too "duh" to get your point

I guess. <_<

Try reading all the links I've posted and maybe you'll get it.

I've read the links. And what I see is something that happened over a year ago. The "cheating approver" in question is no longer an approver. It wasn't your cache. So what does it matter to you?

I did notice that the log is now archived, and doesn't show up on the cache page. I have to wonder why that is. Does it have something to do with your inability to forgive and forget?

I can see how you would be confused. There are really two topics here:

1 - The cacher in question was caught red-handed faking finds on some caches, although he subsequently blamed it on one of his employees.

2 - Despite the ongoing denials of himself and TPTB, it has long been speculated that this same cacher is also an approver. Today he logged a cache accidently using his approver name rather than his caching name. His companion's, unfortunately, did not make the same mistake and mentioned that he was with them.

I know this probably isn't earth-shattering news for most people, but because of the constant denials, it has been an ongoing topic of speculation locally. I think RobertM's post was intended to put an end to the speculation regarding MrG's approver status. The mention of his previous bout of cheating obviously muddied the waters.

He is still an approver.

Well let me spell it out for you.

He (MrG) was caught cheating and denied it.

Then he became an approver and everyone complained. So he "gave the position up" apparently.

Then Cache-Advance, a new guy became our local approver, and we all knew it was him. Jeremy denied it.

Finally the truth is out. MrG didn't log out of his approver account before posting this find log (which he did not cheat on). So not all did MrGigabyte lie but so did Jeremy.

Things that make you go Hmmmmm.<_<

Ah, I see now.

Let's put this in another light.

There is another user in these forums who has a reputation that is, shall we say, "chit"? One of the recurring bits of advice to him is to change his user-name and make a fresh start. Isn't it possible that MrGigabyte is trying to do that? And that you are making it impossible for him to change his reputation?
