Team DEMP Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 They all look tremendously creative!! You should work on those Clancy video games!! One question - what does: SUBMIT LOGS AS MISSIONS mean? Quote
Semper Securus Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Avro... you are really one creative guy! The cache description seemed as if "Q" himself wrote it... I gotta take a day off real soon and go for these... Quote
JMBella Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Great job Avro. Can't wait to get out there and bag these. Although I have a feeling I'll need a long weekend to bag them all. Quote
Team Shibby Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 These look like they are going to be fun! Very creative and interesting! I'm looking forward to getting out there and tackling them...if it wasn't 2AM I be out there right now! Kar of TS!! Quote
briansnat Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 They look great. You certainly are on a cache planting roll. Quote
SERG312 Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 (edited) I can tell this is going to be one busy caching summer thanks to avroair. With all this caching the Bass and trout are going to be safe from me this summer. Thanks for this new adventure. Edited June 4, 2004 by SERG312 Quote
The_Z_Man Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Avro...Thanks for giving me more reasons to spend my time in NJ. Looks like these missions will be a lot of fun. Quote
fosterbass Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 With all this caching the Bass and trout are going to be safe from me this summer. Phew! I didn't even know I was in danger! Quote
bldebabe Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 (edited) These caches look to be quite fun... luckily I live close by :-) Looking forward to starting the mission! Edited June 4, 2004 by bldebabe Quote
avroair Posted June 4, 2004 Author Posted June 4, 2004 They all look tremendously creative!! You should work on those Clancy video games!! One question - what does: SUBMIT LOGS AS MISSIONS mean? SUBMIT LOGS AS MISSIONS mean? Means... please stay in your Secret Agent persona while logging your visit. Such as... Insertion @ 0130 hrs. Didn't have intel maps of area and was forced to depend on GPS coords from previous tactical mission! No problems finding insertion point. Encountered some unfriendlies and resorted to stealth mode at the first objective. Near end of mission, tube immitter device was nearing its low power cycle. Had to grab a mini slinky and scoot. Be creative Quote
avroair Posted June 4, 2004 Author Posted June 4, 2004 if it wasn't 2AM I be out there right now! Cache Mission HQ here. Seems the enemy complexes close at 10 p.m. You can insert at night but we will disavow and knowledge of your missions if you get caught. Any mission can be completed in the dark, just remember to apply your camo paint and bring a light emitting device. CMHQ out. Quote
avroair Posted June 5, 2004 Author Posted June 5, 2004 Cache Mission HQ: Walked thru all 'Theaters of Operations" today to verify no mission has been compromised... Green lights, fellow agents... all missions are GO, repeat all missions are GO... remember your cache log sheets and standard equipment. Enemy mosquitoes are patroling so bring your portable anti-bug canisters. Good Luck Mission Briefing Closed. Quote
SERG312 Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 Avro do you have any self destructing paper I can print the missions on? I fear I may be overpowered by police to surrender mission printouts. Man how do you explain these printouts if a cop asks to see it. lol Quote
avroair Posted June 5, 2004 Author Posted June 5, 2004 Man how do you explain these printouts if a cop asks to see it. Tell me you are a dispatcher? Quote
Quoddy Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 I'm going to "Africa" in the morning, I would have considered accepting the mission, but I think tomorrow may be better suited for a physical rather than mental day for me. These look great! Quote
avroair Posted June 8, 2004 Author Posted June 8, 2004 Cache Mission HQ: Couple of updates to the mission log. Intel spotted so unfriendlies in the vicinity of the cache... they moved it slightly... I proceeded in stealth mode to return and update the clue. Make sure you print out new logs for: Cache Mission 4: McMillan's Doctrine Cache Mission 2: BeloRussia Good luck! Quote
avroair Posted June 8, 2004 Author Posted June 8, 2004 Congrats to the Frantic Cacher secret agent team. This NOC team was able to infiltrate 3 of the 6 enemy complexes... and still had time to practice maneuvers on the nearby training course! Quote
The Frantic Cachers Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 They were some great hides and stealth cannot be stressed enough.......which was difficult in broad daylight. We look forward to completing the missions soon. Thanks avro for the hunt! Quote
Man In The Wild Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 if it wasn't 2AM I be out there right now! Cache Mission HQ here. Seems the enemy complexes close at 10 p.m. You can insert at night but we will disavow and knowledge of your missions if you get caught. Any mission can be completed in the dark, just remember to apply your camo paint and bring a light emitting device. CMHQ out. Ah... this we learned in the couple hours of my life spent in NJ. We were undetected, but our car wasn't as stealthy. It didn't even know it was in a park! You guys sure have expensive tickets there! Quote
avroair Posted June 10, 2004 Author Posted June 10, 2004 Just a note for secret agents who don't bring cache pages. Mission 6 cannot be completed with out first completing 1-4 (not 5) and all cache missions 1-5 are NOT sequential so you can hit them in any order. In terms of rating from easier to harder: cache mission 3 cache mission 2 cache mission 5 cache mission 1 cache mission 4 cache mission 6 Hope this helps! Don't get caught, be discreet and follow the directions! CM HQ Quote
avroair Posted June 22, 2004 Author Posted June 22, 2004 The Evil Mastermind is still out free and threatening the world! No one has completed The Promethian League yet! (Kber... I mean rebK, doesn't count because he helped me beta test it ) Stage 1 of Mission 6 is back online! (Remember to complete 1 thru 4 in order to finish 6 and capture the evil mastermind!) CMHQ Quote
avroair Posted June 24, 2004 Author Posted June 24, 2004 Agents of Team Shibby in for a little stealth hunting... Cache them if you can! Quote
Team Shibby Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 Missions one and two accomplished! It was great fun hunting down these two missions and I look forward to the rest! Of course I kept Avroair out till 11:30 at night, but what can I say? We like to talk!! LOL Kar of TS!! Quote
BassoonPilot Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 (edited) I did caches 1 - 5 and took photos of the key at cache 6 this morning disguised as a NJ Jackals fan. Had a good time, took about 2 hours. Nice job. Edited June 25, 2004 by BassoonPilot Quote
avroair Posted July 3, 2004 Author Posted July 3, 2004 Just had to let people know for cache mission 3, you are projecting a waypoint of 300 meters, not 300 kilometers! If you want to know the rest, hey, buy the rights... check the logs!!! Quote
Team Shibby Posted July 3, 2004 Posted July 3, 2004 LOL!! Go ahead...poke fun!! I was beginning to think my GPS was not capable of projecting my waypoint in meters!! It was such a simple oversight, but I chalk it all up to the learning curve. In all honesty, it made finding the cache a little more fun! Now I want to do more caches that contain waypoint projection Kar Quote
avroair Posted July 15, 2004 Author Posted July 15, 2004 Hello agents CMHQ here, Special Cache Mission kudos to agents of Team Total Perspective Vortex who completed both missions 1 and 2 in a torrid downpour with heavy enemy activity reported! Reciever for cache mission 2 has new batteries and spares in the hold. CMHQ out. Quote
avroair Posted July 16, 2004 Author Posted July 16, 2004 Congrats to Agent Dhenning for completing Missions 1-5. It took him just over 5 hours! I checked on Mission 1, Stage 1 and Mission 6, Final Cache - both are high and dry and still there! CMHQ Quote
avroair Posted August 11, 2004 Author Posted August 11, 2004 Congrats! Dhenning saves the world!!! Black Ops Team SplicingDan and Crouching Hiker complete 1-5! I will be at Mission 1, Stage 1 around 5:30 if anyone needs a little coaching on converting to UTM CMHQ out! Quote
Crouching Hiker, Hidden Cache Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Thanks for the interesting theme caches in an otherwise could-be lame-ish traditional hide area. Had almost as much fun logging the finds online! Will go for the final "when things have quieted down a bit." Quote
avroair Posted August 11, 2004 Author Posted August 11, 2004 could-be lame-ish traditional hide area The cache missions ARE still lame, I just made you have to work for the lameness Quote
Crouching Hiker, Hidden Cache Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Yea you could be right, I guess all the work took my mind off how lame they really were! Honestly, it was a good use of the area, nice job. Quote
Team Shibby Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 Well...I did it! I finally completed them! Took me quite awhile to get these all done, but I did it! I had fun doing these caches and I look forward to more unique caches such as these. Great job Mark, on a fun (albeit long) series of caches!! I had wanted to do these with Serg312, but once I heard he was offered and accepted a job in Baltimore, I figured my chances were slim in ever finding them with him... Sorry Buddy I am happy to hear that you are doing what you always wanted to do, hope you'll still have time to cache Kar of TS!! Quote
nikcap Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 Congrats Kar! I was not so lucky, the evil master mind pushed me down the slide into the puddle of water! That's what I get for venturing with my Reeboks on instead of my standard issue army boots. BTW, this series is not lame. It's easily in my top ten even the top three. Now that things are back in order, I'll need to head up there and beat that evil mastermind into submission. Quote
avroair Posted August 26, 2004 Author Posted August 26, 2004 The Evil Mastermind can be a slippery fiend! All keytags have been restored and the cache pages updated. Thanks to Kar of Team Shibby for helping me replace the stages gone lame. Quote
avroair Posted August 27, 2004 Author Posted August 27, 2004 Please note the keytags for the missions have changed color. If you find a colored keytag with a code on it, in the Final Caches changes are you have found the right one!!! (except for the red one in mission 2 which is a decoy!). Cache Mission HQ Quote
avroair Posted September 12, 2004 Author Posted September 12, 2004 Went out to check on all the cache missions. All cache mission are up and running again. Stage 1 for Mission 6 is operational. Congrats to the following agents who have preservered through the ordeal or double agents, spies, faulty equipment and CMHQ bungles. * * * Cache Mission Roll of Honor * * * Kber dhenning25 BassoonPilot SplicingDan Crouching Hiker, Hidden Cache Team Shibby BMSquared If any of you know the new combo 'deactivation code' to the lock box at mission 5 please LMK.
