Check out this thread for information about an event cache that will pass through Seattle twice.

Actually, he has revised the route and he will only be passing thru Seattle only once, northbound on I-5.

Since he is wanting to stop at Rest-Areas, I hope to get him to stop at my TB Hotel Cache at the I-5 rest area near milepost 206 just north of Marysville.

I beleive it's the first rest area on I-5 Northbound north of Federal Way.

I just sent him an email about meeting at the last rest stop before you enter Seattle, just north of the King/Pierce border. This will give all of us more than one chance to log this.

CJ is on the way and is currently in western Texas. With my rough estimation of his travel time, I should be able to make the meet at the Federal Way rest area. The only problem I will have is that if he gets here on the 26th or 27th I will not be able to. I expect that he will be here on a weekday next week.

At his current rate -- starting at 6:30 a.m. and stopping at 11:00 p.m. -- I expect he'll be at the Federal Way rest area late in the afternoon on Sunday the 20th (4:00 p.m., according to MapPoint's calculations), and at the Smokey Point rest area at 5:15. Could be later, though, especially since he's going after Original Stash Tribute Plaque earlier in the day.

My guess is that he'll hit Federal Way after dark, and spend the night in Team Misguided's graveyard.

What alert system are we using to rally everybody at the appropriate time?

Second best would be for someone to fire off a message to the GeocachingWA yahoogroups mailing list. Best would be to call Clayjar and have him add you to his ''call me'' list. His phone number is in this photo:

Olympia-area cachers might want to see if they can convince him to take a brief rest at the Capitol grounds, where he can quickly bag two virtuals. This was also the starting point for the Olympia Cache Machine. I think the site would be a memorable stop.

I can add a database to the WSGAPS yahoo group. If you want to add you phone number to that data base for this event you can do so and I'll call you when he hits the South Sound Area. I'll delete the database after the event.

This morning's note on the tracking page says he will be in northern Calofornia this evening. That makes it late Sunday for the Seattle area. I might just have to miss this one. I will be tied up until at least 8:00 Sunday. If someone has my cell number, would they give me a call when we know for sure on Sunday and I will see if I can hook up with the cache.

Since WL and I were typing at the same time, I will edit this to say that I will add my number to the database.

I saw a reference to this group before but never knew it existed. I sent a request to join and added my cell phone number to be added into the database in the justify my request comments on why I should be allowed to join.

Aaaand he's outta here! Heading north to Vancouver as you read this. He should be about an hour away from the border at the time of this post. Stay tuned for a live news update of that usual suspicious car causing a lockdown at the border!

What a nice little gathering we had to greet and meet Clay Jar.

Such a pleasant fellow he is! We got the grand tour of the traveling cache. He has a neat system that has set up in the vehicle.

We were all so rushed to meet him that none of us thought about fixing and bringing him a lunch! He gladly accepted a bag of unopened dried pinapple snacks I had in the car.

This was a once in a lifetime caching experience! Thanks ClayJar. We'll be watching you!

Nutten' like a rest stop full of cachers on a hot summer day!

That was a fun experience with lots of great company to see ClayJar off to the next country.

Canada he's on his way.
