+peanutbutterbreadandjam
Hi there I have recently switched from a Garmin GPS12 to a 60C, and there is one thing that I used to be able to di easily on the 12 that seems impossible on the 60C: I want to be able (sometimes) manually key in a waypoint to the 60C. Sometimes I am out and about and nowhere near a computer, or I have just re-read an old geoCache printout that I had not had a chnace to download. Reading the Garmin 60C manual, there is no indication that this is possible, but I am surprised as it does not appear to be a hard thing to implement and as I say, it was available in the 12, so why remove it? Does anyone know a way to manually enter a waypoint in the 60C? I know I can go to map mode, move the white pointer to the approximate position, or even the exact position and hit "Mark" to store the coords, but this is fiddly and counter intuitive. Thanks in advance. Miles/.. : Quote Link to comment
+Team Four Paw
I just hit the mark button, use the thumbpad to page down and change the coords to what I want them to be. Of course before changing the coods I usually change the name to something other than 001/etc... Seems rather intuitive to me.. Quote Link to comment
+skibum957
If I understand your question, you just press the "Mark" button and the data screen will appear. You have the ability to modify all the fields including coordinates, name, type icon and notes. I hope that's what you are looking for. Quote Link to comment
