+BMSquared
At long last, someone creates a cache which calls on all of my skills!! I will be there. Quote Link to comment
+fosterbass
The event date is June 9th, but the description says June 2nd. You trying to get me to log a DNF on an event cache? Quote Link to comment
+SERG312
I'll be there, June 2 or June 9. Quote Link to comment
+Team DEMP
If nothing unexpected comes up, count me in! Are we filming that night? Does anyone need to bring a woodchuck costume? Quote Link to comment
dboggny
i can probably make the 9th but not the 2nd, assuming my mom will babysit the kid. Quote Link to comment
+avroair
Whoops! The event is June 9th... so much for cutting and pasting from someone else's event. JUNE 9th JUNE 9th JUNE 9th Edited May 26, 2004 by avroair Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
I should be able to make it. Geez, I haven't been to the Grande Saloon in close to 20 years. I used to go there a lot when I was in my late teens (back when 18 year olds could drink). I'm surprised its still around. Quote Link to comment
+HartClimbs
Sheesh. They won't approve Brian's Hudson Highlands cache get-together as an event cache, but a few beers in a local pub is a certified event? I'm all for beers - but come on - this isn't an event cache. Quote Link to comment

Sounds like it to me! From the guidelines: Event caches are gatherings for geocachers by geocachers to discuss geocaching...blah blah...In addition, an event cache should not be set up for the sole purpose of drawing together cachers for an organized hunt of another cache or caches. Such group hunts are best organized using the forums or an email distribution list. So as long as we talk about geocaching, we're in the clear. One word about them Yankees and we're toast. +Team DEMP
I'm passing up sitting in a VIP suite at the Yankee game for this! I hope the wings are good!! Quote Link to comment
+JMBella
I think I'm in Avro. I'm going to try and take the day off and spend it caching in the area. This way I'll smell really bad by the time I get there. Who wants to sit next to me? Quote Link to comment
+Team DEMP
Just wanted to let everyone know that I ordered special event buttons for this from Bumble Buttons. So if we have less then 25, I'm covered. If not, the first 25 there will get one. Vicky, the gal that does the buttons is terrific and came up with a great design and I think everyone will like them. The event should be a blast, as long as the beer taps don't go. Quote Link to comment
+Semper Securus
I should be able to make it as well.... Wings..beer...famous cachers, and an event button.... What more could you ask for? Quote Link to comment
+Quoddy
As an original participant, I am going to try to make it. This will be WAY past my bedtime, but I think one short sleep night won't kill me. The 4:30 AM alarm clock may, though. Quote Link to comment
+avroair
7:30 pm is past your bedtime Quoddy!!! Last time I visited this tavern I got to bed just as you were getting up!!! Wife wasn't too happy about that so this time she is coming along! Quote Link to comment

Please drink responsibly. And don't drink and cache... Quote Link to comment

I've just listed an event on the 19th in Long Lake, NY, and hope that some of you can come. We'll be distributing 25-35 YJTBs, and other NNYGeo stuff (cache cards, buttons, rear-window stickers, and "Official Geocache" cache IDs). Sounds like you will be having a nice turnout, have a great time! nfa Quote Link to comment
+avroair
dadgum it! Why do I always stay out later for these things! My wife only just bought the 'I'm the host' deal! +Team DEMP
Woohoo - a party!!! Great people, good food and cold beer. Jeez, with that mix you think Hart would have shown up! Avro - You did a tremendous job organizing this and if your wife kicks you out, we can pass you around between our houses for a night or two at a time. Quoddy - Thanks for the Texas Geocoin. My daughter has some weird obsession for NJ and Texas so she was thrilled when I showed it to her. I'll place it a cache this weekend. Haggaeus - Congratulations on #200!!! And have a safe trip to wherever you are going to end up. Pop onto the NorthEast forum from time to time so we know how you are. Semper Securus - great talking with you. Contact me when you are looking for a caching partner. Brian/Harrald - my older daughter asked me when she woke up if you both were there. Since she met you both, she always asks if I saw you. I think she ranks you two up there with Spongebob and the rest of the Nick characters. Everyone else... thanks for making the event very enjoyable!! Quote Link to comment
+Team Shibby
Thanks for the cool buttons Team Demp! Had a great time. Wish I could see you guys in Conn. But I'm being dragged off to a wedding. Have Fun!! Krs Quote Link to comment
