+Stunod
Is there a difference between southwest and west south west? Can someone explain that? Thanks! West southwest is more west than southwest. Really. It's splitting the difference between southwest and west. Edited May 25, 2004 by Stunod Quote Link to comment
+Hambone
Southwest is at a bearing of 225 degrees. West South West is at a bearing of 247.5 degrees. Therefore it is halfway between south west and west. Conversely south south west is halfway between south west and south (or a bearing of 202.5) Quote Link to comment
