Dan-oh
I'll stop with the analogies just to keep it safe. One of my easier caches, the first I placed, was a new cachers first find ever. How cool is that! I sent him a short email welcoming him, directed him to the local forum and said I'd answer any questions. Ain't it great to see someone start up fresh? Quote Link to comment
tstar
That happened in my area recently. A new cacher had a FTF on his first cache. He didn't realize the significance until people started emailing him. It's a little competitive in our area with certain cachers. Tstar Quote Link to comment
Riddlers
Well, the question can also be asked, were they gentle when they found your first cache? Quote Link to comment
sept1c_tank
One of my caches served as the vehicle for a FTNF. Does that count? Quote Link to comment
SixDogTeam
My first find was the hiders first hide, and I was the FTF. uh-huh, uh-huh. Quote Link to comment
GentleWhisper
No first cache stories... but after working hard on creating my first signature items. I was overly excited to see that my first one left was picked up by a first time geocacher... she seemed excited about it. Quote Link to comment
wray_clan
A guy searched for one of our caches as his first hunt ever...and he didn't find it. Quote Link to comment
bons
What a fun time. We took Jamie's sister and niece. This was their first cache and they had lots of fun. So much in fact that they went out and bought a GPSr so they can start caching on thier own. This one alone makes it all worthwhile. Quote Link to comment

Destitute
Similar to this thread, the first cache we found just got archived. Its been slightly over a year now and the owners are moving away and disabled the caches they had out. Also, my wife has taken several people to this location to show them what caching was all about. +CacheCreatures
The first cache we ever found got a travel bug called "First Remember". Themed to help you remember your geocaching firsts. We went and got it. Ironically, it was our first bug. We then placed it in our first ever out-of-state cache. Phew. Quote Link to comment
